Purina Feline Pate Gems ARE truly great to our Furbaby!
My FurBaby liked these Purina little “Gems”, no make that LOVED them so much, he stopped eating his regular food and chose these instead. That says something because he had been eating the Purina Savory Pates with Gravy in the Center cans for years. These Gems and his previous food are made by the same company, so I think that might be the reason he chose them so quickly. Whatever reason I am happy for it. He is 16 years old, so as a Senior Furbaby he is a picky eater. He eats NO table food whatsoever. The little Gem shaped containers are perfect. I take them and put 1 or 2 on his plate and away he goes.Seriously he digs in and almost eats one container. That’s a lot for him as I said he is a senior cat, has no teeth, and as such was constantly throwing up. He has been eating these Purina Gems for a couple of months and has only thrown up 3 or 4 times. A couple times a day was the norm. The smell is hardly noticeable and the little Gem containers are very easy to use, although sealed so very tightly that you will know immediately if you have a so-called “bad” package. All 4 flavors are brown in color and amazingly fresh. The flavors are divided into 12 double packs making a total of 24 to a box. I feed my Furbaby 1 “Gem” at a time, switching to the next little box and Gem making sure he has different flavors each meal. Hershey loves these Purina Pate Gems with Gravy and so do I.

My cats love this so much, I swear they eat it in one bite. They get wet food every few days, and as soon as I gave them this, they have been bugging me every day for more. It’s just the right amount, it’s definitely worth the money for my babies.

Our Furbaby absolutely love meal times. We place the pyramid in the refrigerator this summer. It gets really soft. This keeps the jelly and mousse firm. When the weather is cooler/colder we donāt refrigerate. Either way, Julia loves the jelly top and devoured the mousse. So that the pyramid comes out in one piece, we use a flat spatula on the side to break āair vacuumā seal. In one piece, it slides out. We scrap the tiny leftover jelly in the container (no waste, lol). Julia walks away licking his chomps every time. Shortly afterwards itās nap time

I don’t like the price of these but they’re the same price everywhere else. My cat is extremely spoiled and absolutely loves these. I give him these as a special treat every once in a while.

Well this feels like a marketing gimmick and I fell for it. I thought these cute little pyramids looked so cool and would be a fun new way for my cat to enjoy a snack. The appeal was that you just squeeze it out and you’re all set. So they’re a pain to squeeze out. If you have any sort of hand pain or arthritis, forget it. Then so much of the gravy is left behind in the container and we all know that’s the best part. So then you have to dirty up a spatula or whatever to scrape that out. Then if I don’t mush this up, my cat won’t eat the bottom of the gem. So there’s just like a layer of it that goes to waste.I think for the price there are better snacks out there. One gem doesn’t have enough calories to make it a meal for my cat so this is purely a treat or a snack. If we’re trying to find a positive, this helps with some moisture intake I guess. When he’s begging he does seem to enjoy when I bring him a gem. They weren’t crazy expensive but I’d stick to the lil gravies or bisque packets for a treat. I don’t think I’d repurchase these. They’re fun but just not practical.
