Maybe I didn’t see this correctly in the description, but this ISN’T a true self cooling mat in the sense it has a heat-absorbing gel interior.It’s the kind of material you’d get wet while hiking, dunking it in a stream, and then wrapping around head or neck for short term relief.Not a fan. That a.) doesn’t stay cool for long b.) make your dog or cat wet (umm…. no) c.) where am I supposed to be a wet, soggy thin towel thing in my house?Just no.

Cooling but stiff
I put this on my dogs pillow on my bed to keep him cooler. He would not get on his pillow again. The pad is quite stiff and I think he likes the fluffiness of his pillow. Touching the fabric seems like it would work well, but like I said, he doesn’t like it so Sending it back.
