This pet bed came EXTREMELY well packaged. I recently had a bad experience with a pillow that did not, so I’m telling you, how it comes packaged is important. That was the first sign to me that this was going to be a quality product.It’s very pretty, and the material is super soft. The cushioning is very plump and firm. It’s actually pretty heavy. And the size is great for my 20lb cat. 2 of her could probably fit in there!BUT, what impresses me the most about this pet bed is that every side of it, as well as the bottom, are all separate cushions that you can remove. Not even just that they are removable, but also they are individual cushions, not messy stuffing inside that would make it so inconvenient to remove for washing that in those cases I just end up throwing the whole thing in the washer.My aforementioned cat is getting old, and at her size (the food situation is a battle), it’s getting harder for her to clean herself, so she leaves oils and tons of hair on pet beds. And of course, I love white and still refuse to get something darker. So washable is a MUST. I’m so so pleased with that part about this pet bed alone! Each side of the bed has a separate zipped compartment, and individual wrapped cushions inside. That way, you can just only throw the outer fluffy pillowcase in the washer.A tip from me – you can remove any dark staining/furry oils from these by soaking in dish detergent and warm water for a day, stir it up every few hrs, and add some non-bleach whitener if you have it. Give it some scrubbing its soapy too. Then just rinse cycle in the washer and voila! It’ll be like new! Bright and white again.Hope this helps!
