Great for scent training!
I have an SDiT who is scent training to alert me to cardiac events. For that, we use samples of saliva as well as sweat. Typically, what we do is collect samples and store in an air-tight glass container (marking time of day, event, and stats). When it’s time to do training, we transfer samples into these tins and use the samples as well as ‘neutral’ tins to teach Onyx what to alert to, and how to alert.These tins are super easy to use; they open easily and shut fully. They come with magnets if you want to hide them on a metal object (though I don’t use that feature), and they are easy to clean.We’ve now used these for a few sessions, and they are still like new. I foresee these lasting a good, long time.I will mention that they are thinner metal, and I recommend hand washing them and then drying them immediately after use. Letting them air-dry can introduce some bacteria, which can ultimately contaminate a sample.Once I’m done using them, I hand wash, dry, and then place in a ziploc bag and put in the freezer. This keeps other odors from getting on them and keeps them pristine until next use.

Magnets need an upgrade
The tin is great and the lid holds down well. The magnets are not the best and barely hold onto the fridge. 3 stars because the magnets were half the reason I wanted them. But if I replace them, the tin themselves are great, so its not a completely bad buy. Just… okay.

Perfect for training
These little tins are absolutely perfect for training scent work! I can place the desired scent inside and teach my dog to react to that scent. Once he knows the scent I can use the same tins to hide for him to find. Since there are 10 included there are even extras to use as decoy scents. Magnets are included as well to allow you to attach the tins to objects. Really great set and a good value for so many perforated scent tins.

Scent work tins! And not a crisis if you lose one.
We’re on vacation, and I am glad I grabbed these tins and some odor. I opened up the package, and removed the liner under the lid. I can’t figure out why there is a liner, but they come out easily enough. They are larger than the tins I normally use, but not a problem unless I’m trying to hide it in a smaller area. The little holes are a cute touch. The magnets aren’t strong like the rare earth versions I normally use, and can put in the tin. These are 3 M adhesive ones, so I stuck it to the outside and they stuck well to the fridge and a the fireplace tools, and a waste paper basket. Tired out my old dog, and there are quite a few in the package if I lose them. No, when I lose them. I never can keep track, even when my dogs find them!

Used for training K9s to find specific scents
Nice set of perforated aluminum containers for placing scent for K9 training. They have some small magnets that stick on the bottom surface so they can be placed on ay metal surface like cars, file cabinets, gun safes, etc to train the dog for either AKC K9 scent trials, finding human remains, or even narcotics. There are 10 of them in the package.

Nice scent articles with a cute design
Ok, I know that the pup designs are necessary but they are cute. My husband has been wanting to practice scent work with our dogs and and really liked this set. Overall, it’s very nice for the price and the addition of magnets is a nice touch.

Nice Starter
This is a nice starter to begin to scent train. It isn’t the best quality but it is a complete little set for a pet home or trainer that is looking to learn and play with scent training their dog.The first one came in with the glass broken and the entire box smelled SO strong. They were able to send a replacement and it arrived in good condition.I dont like that the package comes in smelling strong even with the intact one. I like my scent training to be in airtight containers so I have more control of the scents and its more accurate and less confusing for my dog. Again this is not perfect but good as a starter kit.There are no directions on training inside so you will need to know or learn how to train on your own.
