Huge money saver!
These bags are very durable, sturdy enough to hold a heavy load of clumped litter without any fear of leakage or tearing. Nor does odor permeate through the bag. That means it’s a forever plastic and not eco-friendly, unfortunately. Since I use unmedicated chick feed starter as litter (odorless, dust free, doesn’t track, 50 lbs for the price of an 18 lbs tub of Tidy Cats, doesn’t destroy the earth to make cracked corn), it would have helped the breakdown in landfill.However, I do have to look at the instructions every single time I change the bag. Installation is not intuitive. But this is a review for the bag, not the system.You can’t beat the price per bag vs. what the Genie wants you to buy, and since it takes as much litter waste as you can pack in the Litter Genie, I highly recommend it.

Much better option than the regular Litter Genie refills
I’m into my second roll of these and am vastly happier with this bag solution than with the official Litter Genie refills. (Don’t forget that you need to order the clamp bracket/“adapter”, as well, to use these bags in a Litter Genie.) First of all, these are *bags*, not plastic tubes, so you only have to tie the top off once the bag is full. Second, you don’t have to measure or cut: you just tear off the next bag and install it. Materially, these are just as effective as the official refills in odor control, and they are far less wasteful in terms of packaging or space. And they’re cheaper. Wins all around. For the record, I’m using Multi-cat Arm & Hammer Clump & Seal, which is a heavy, aggressively clumping litter that is probably destroying the world, but it’s the only one I’ve found that keeps my apartment from reeking of cat urine. I have had no issues with tearing or ripping with these bags: I don’t abuse them, and they give me no troubles. Now that the official Litter Genie refills are no longer necessary, we just need someone like SimpleHuman to produce a high quality steel litter canister for these bags, and we can kiss goodby the crummy plastic Litter Genie, too!

So much better than the name brand refills.
These bags are super sturdy and one box lasts me months, even with 4 indoor-only cats. The amount of money I’ve saved since switching from name brand is crazy.My one issue is that I wish they were a little bit longer. I have the XL Genie. When the bag is about ¾ full, it slips out of the blue securing part, and can make a mess. One extra inch of length would solve the problem. I really hope this change goes into effect, because it’s frustrating.

Sturdy and roomy
I’ve been using these since 2020, and they work great. They are thick and keep any odor contained. I’ve thought about using them for particularly stinky kitchen debris that I can’t get rid of immediately, or using them to keep highly scented soaps from contaminating food in storage/shipping, but I haven’t gotten to those yet. I keep them beside my cat litter box in a small covered basket with the end of the roll hanging out, so I can pull and tear with no issue. I’d consider keeping them in the bottom of my litter genie, but I don’t trust myself to get them dirty somehow! I recommend these to all my cat-owner friends as a lower cost, but just as effective alternative to the name brand refills.

GREAT! I will never go back to using Litter Genie bags
These are high quality, much more affordable & MUCH easier to use than Litter Genie bags (when used in combination with the Dooli Litter Genie insert, which you need to also buy to be able to use these in your Litter Genie).These Dooli refill bags are completely superior to Litter Genie bags in every way. So glad I found Dooli!Litter Genie bags are around $3 EACH — just for the length sufficient for one bag of litterbox scoopings that’s only big enough to hold about 4 days’ litter scoopings for my 1 cat. That is just too darn expensive!! 👎[Note: Litter Genie bags are a continuous roll so each “bag” must be cut off the roll, whereas Dooli replacement bags are generously-sized individual bags.]In contrast, the Dooli refill bags are about 75 cents each, which is worth it for the convenience & quality of the 7-layer bags.Dooli bags are more convenient & easier to use than the Litter Genie bags, which must be cut each time, which is a hassle.Two big thumbs up for these Dooli refill bags. 👍👍
