Does the Job
Great for short term/intermittent use. I have two self-mutilators that I rescued. These are sooooo much better than the floppy plastic cones while their wounds are healing because they can still hold food with their feet. These are not a long term solution but great while waiting for a wound to heal. I take these off once the wound is completely healed and then I put on some kind of sock sweater or small dog shirt as a barrier. Long term solution should be behavior modification, proper mental stimulation, diet, lots of socialization.

Claustrophobia
My African grey seemed very uncomfortable with this piece of acrylic around her neck.

Product was as described. Shipping took longer than promised.
My parrot needed this right away. It was promised to be to me by Saturday. That was the only reason I bought from this vendor. It didn’t come in untill Monday. I had to stay up with my baby two more days to keep him from hurting himself. To say I was disappointed is an understatement.

Can be dangerous to overall health of bird.
Very hard on the bird. Veterinarian warned me that it causes other health concerns although she is ‘for the use of other types of collars when treating certain conditions in feather picking, etc.
Iliana Gomez –
Good product for birds with a wound
Had to get the large to fit on my boy but once on he was ok and I was able to fix his feathers and very comfortable for him

Not worth money
Bird got it off with in 30 minutes of taking it to vet and having them put it on. Not worth the money at all and bird bit it and broke it. Money out the window.
