Cats Love These Things
Iāve owned a few of these now and every cat Iāve ever presented it to has gone bonkers over it. My last cat went through two. She was a destructive little monkey, but actually a pretty big cat. She could actually grab the feather in her mouth and pick the whole unit up in her mouth and carry it or flick her neck and throw it. She was tough on these, but she really liked beating them up. The cat I have now enjoys sitting and staring at it and occasionally swatting at it. She lets me know she wants to play with it by going and sitting next to it and looking from me to it until I go turn it on. Theyāre pretty sturdy unless your cat throws them, even then, the case, etc holds up fine. Itās the feathers that take a beating. It comes with one extra feather in the box, but Iād recommend getting the package of spares, too. The batteries last a really long time, even with regular play. Itās a little noisy, but the cats seem to get used to that quickly. Itās a really great toy.

It doesn’t turn on automatically. That would be cool. Comes with batteries! Blue light stays on until it auto shuts off.My big guy absolutely loves it. He also bullies it so it slides. There are rubber feet, but honestly, it sliding is not a worry for me. He hasnt been able to flip it or make it not work. Hes about 12 lbs of Tom cat. It helps decrease fights between my big guy and my birdie guy.(birdie guy will stalk big guy when hes irritated, and big guy will play rough on birdie guy when bored. Not a good combo).I do think it will depend on your cats demeanor and what kind of toys they like. This big guy prefers ground play and toys that mimic bugs. He loves this toy.My guy that prefers bird or flying types of toys, isnt super interested, but he also doesnt like playing with the big guy.My old guy likes to watch but hes not big on anything other than a real bug, cat nip or laser lights lolI dont feel like it’s much louder than my air purifier on high. The lights mean different things. Read the instructions. Comes with a spare feather! It’s much less annoying than them trying to “hunt” eachother. that’s for sure.It acts like prey. It will stop occasionally to gain the cats attention. This is def a great thing in our house. Just use my toe to turn it on when the cats seem to be needing to let out energy. (Helpful if your busy cooking or doing another task or pregnant and exhausted like me lol).My cat hasnt been able to catch the feathers yet, surprisingly which keeps him interested.I’m very happy for once an interactive toy that is safe and very effective as the feathers hide when not in use.

CATS ARE INTERESTED
I bought this toy for my two cats as a Christmas present. They immediately were very curious and crowded around to watch the action of the feather popping out of various holes on the side of the unit. My 6 year old boy pawed a bit at the feather. Mostly they liked to watch. The unit has somewhat of a loud noise, which was disruptive to me more than the cats. The toy does hold their interest. My cats are not overly active unless I play with them by dragging some kind of toy on a string or bar, so I must say that an active, extremely playful cat would enjoy this toy. My cats like to watch the toy and occasionally go after the feather, but it does not invoke active play for them. To each his own! I am still happy with the toy as it does keep them focused and entertained. PetFusion products are above average in quality and my cats LOVE the scratch furniture they sell. Well made toy, very inventive, and fun for cats…mine are not actively playing with it but they are intrigued. I do recommend this product, especially for young cats that have extra energy. Overall, I’m happy with the product!

Great in theory, no so much in practice. Too slow
My cat LOVES the OurPets Catty Whack but the feathers simply stick into a silicone base and he pulls them out when he catches the toy, then he demolished the silicone base so no new feathers can fit in. I thought this one would be perfect because these feathers twist into the base. I even thought it would be cool that there are three speeds but the “fast” speed is *maybe* medium and my cat catches it immediately each time. I even replaced the batters after 1 month of use because it was so slow, I assumed it was because he’d worn down the batteries. It also stops for several seconds at a time so he gets bored. I don’t know if this is supposed to have motion detection but if so, that doesn’t work. I will give it points for durability though! My exuberant cat pounces on it, crashes into it, flips it over and it is still in great shape.Unfortunately after a few seconds he is bored because it’s so slow. I’m super disappointed – I had high hopes for this! I Will continue to look for a replacement for the Catty Whack because this isn’t it.

Audibly Entertaining your cat
Got this toy for my young energetic cat, who is constantly zipping and zooming around with the dog, to try to keep her entertained and challenged by means other than him. Like most new cat toys it takes them a few minutes to figure out what it is but once she did her attention was glued to it. She would even play with it when it’s off, waiting for a feather to poke out. The only two complaints I have are of the noise and frequency you have to reactivate it, neither of which were detrimental enough to drop it to 4 stars. After 8-10 minutes of very audible mechanical whirring, it does auto-shutoff, whether the cat is playing with it or not. Understandable that there is no sensor or remote at this price range, however I’d prefer turning off the power saving features would be more beneficial to me, as with just buying rechargeable batteries, you would essentially be saving you from replacing the batteries so often. I fixed this by putting the toy within arms reach. The toy is pretty noisy, it kinda reminds you that it’s on, so when you hear a really long break in it that means it’s time to turn around and press the button again.In short, the noisiness and relatively short duration are countered well by the fact it is a great value for a toy your cat will thoroughly enjoy.

The cats were a bit confused at first just watching the feathers pop in and out. However once they got used to it one of our cats even learned how to switch it on. Overall good quality. And price.

Har kƶpt dom flesta kattleksakerna pƄ marknaden. Men denna Ƥr lƤtt favoriten till en av mina katter. Haft den ca 1 Ƅr nu och den fungerar bra och han har inte trƶttnat. Den andra katten leker ibland med den.
