Very neutral flavor (may be good for cats)
I haven’t used this long enough to know if it works, but it’s a lot easier than other toothpastes to apply to my cat’s teeth for two reasons: it’s thick, and it smells like nothing.One of my cats loves toothpaste from other brands. He will be so enthusiastic about trying to eat it that I can’t get any on his teeth. This one he tolerates but doesn’t register it as a treat, so he’s extremely disappointed when I use it but this allows me to actually brush his teeth at all.My other cat hates all toothpaste including this one, but it seems to be neutral enough that she lets me put it on her teeth without foaming at the mouth in disgust, so again it actually makes it onto her teeth and stays there for more than a second.The consistency seems to help the paste stay intact until it’s applied, rather than soaking into the toothbrush bristles like others I’ve tried.Anyway, the best cat toothpaste is the one you can actually use, so this is great for me.

Excellent product that removed brown film off the teeth.
These toothpaste is excellent! My dog had brown discoloration on a couple of teeth on each side of the mouth, even with nearly daily brushing. I tried “Paw science dental wipes”, baking soda, vinegar, vinegar with baking soda, gentle scraping with dental scraper, dental treats, raw bones, “Beaphar” toothpaste, “Arm and Hammer” toothpaste, with and without charcoal and “Vet’s Best” toothpaste. Nothing worked and I was mentally preparing myself for the professional teeth cleaning just because of these 4 teeth. Then I bought “Petsmile” toothpaste. Brown film is already mostly gone in less than a month! Somebody here posted a photo of before and after. Believe them! Works like a charm on my dog too. And my beauty enjoys the chicken flavor and never minds tooth brushing.

This toothpaste is not sticky; does have gritty texture is keeping my dogs teeth clean after being cleaned professionally. I use this every evening to brush her teeth. This is the third brand I’ve tried and I like it the best. My dog likes the flavor. 😊

My dogs love this toothpaste!
Both dogs love this stuff – both the chicken and London broil flavors. Two 30 pound spaniels happily sit and wait for their tooth brushing every night. I actually use sponge mouth swabs (not the super silly little things Petsmile sells – but a similar concept). Dampen the sponge mouth swab with warm water and put small dabs of the Petsmile toothpaste on all sides. I let them lick the little bit from my finger. Then by lightly pinching the back of the mouth and sliding the swab in, I brush back and forth and up and down, side to side. Then each dog licks the sponge swab to get the last but of flavor off the sponge. This stuff is magical.

Great taste and healthy teeth
Our vet recommended this toothpaste and our dog loves the flavors of London broil and chicken.It is rather expensive but dental cleaning is even more so.We are happy that our dog has great teeth without plaque.

Ok dog toothpaste
PURCHASED 12/2024 -Petsmile Professional Pet Toothpaste – Cat & Dog Toothpaste for Plaque, Tartar, & Bad Breath – VOHC Accepted Non Enzymatic Dental Care for Cat & Dog Teeth Cleaning (Rotisserie Chicken, 4.2 Oz)I was using another popular brand of dog toothpaste and decided to give this one a try after reading about it somewhere. It’s good dog toothpaste for what it is. It’s better than nothing, but it’s not all that I had read it would be. It’s not terrible and you’re not harming your dog if you use it, it’s just not as good as what I was using before. The smell is a bit weird and there is nothing “fresh” about the smell of the paste but brushing your dog’s teeth helps dog breath in and of itself so, there is that. It cleans your dog’s teeth so long as you are consistent with it because there is no magic for teeth that already have build-up and bad breath because of not having a routine teeth brushing regimen. The large flip cap and plastic squeeze tube is convenient as well. I’m not saying don’t buy this or that it’s not good. I’m just saying I prefer what we were using before if I had to choose between the two.

Along with Yorkie ownership comes the need for attention to daily dental hygiene. It is not rare for Yorkies to require annual dental cleanings. However, I have seen success with a nightly brushing of Petsmile. At 5 1/2 years old, my Yorkies teeth still look good and don’t need a dental cleaning. I have Yorkie, Maltese and Poodle owner friends that have made the switch. London Broil is the flavor I started with and since it was highly palatable to my dog, I have stayed with this flavor.

They keep trying to lick the tube. It’s hilarious.I gotta admit sometimes I get lazy and miss days here and there, so can’t really comment on its effect as you supposed to do it everyday. But the doctor for my dogs said it hasn’t gone worse so I guess, worked somehow.

I never write reviews but this stuff has to be the best thing I have ever purchased for my1 year old BSH cat. I noticed a lot of tartar buildup and bad breath which made me buy this, even though it is expensive it’s worth every penny as you can see from the results in just under a month alongside Plaque off powder. Amazing!!

Have used other toothpastes in a pinch, but will always come back to this one for my dog. He loves the taste and it works! Can see why it’s approved by the VOHC. Worth every penny and it lasts AGES.This paste doesn’t smell of anything really – Definitely no overwhelming fake meat smells to contend with.Must taste good as my dog will eat it from the tube.Non foaming.Not abrasive.Apparently the formula works just from the pets licking it, so you could alternatively smear a pea sized amount on a toy if you really can’t get a good scrub on.Note: No toothpaste is going to be able to remove well established thick plaque from teeth. Only a dental scale and polish from a veterinarian will do that.Overall, what I can say is that from firsthand experience, my dog is now three and I’ve used this once every few days in one form or another (actually brushing his teeth or having him just lick it) since he was a pup and his teeth are spotless.
