Customers say
Customers have mixed experiences with the flea collar’s effectiveness, with some reporting it works well while others say it doesn’t prevent fleas from jumping onto their dogs. The product receives mixed feedback about its quality, ease of application, and durability – while some find it excellent and easy to put on, others report it doesn’t last 6 months and is difficult to reapply. Additionally, customers disagree on the value for money, with some finding it very good for the price while others say it’s not worth it. Moreover, the collar causes allergic reactions and rashes in some dogs, and customers report muscle spasms and lethargy as side effects.

So far so good!
Have 4 dogs and bought this for my smaller 2- pitbull and a corgi/shepherd mix. So far so good. We normally use the sorresto. With flea collars even the sorresto you got to give them a few days to a week to really be fully effective. But after several weeks havent found amy flea on my smaller ones. I will say though my only concern with is my dogs are pretty rambunctious and wrestle alot. The material is softer then the sorresto which our dogs have torn before in the past. So just leave a little extra on there and zip ties work great in case that happens. But so far we havent had any issue!

Always reliable for insects and ticks.
No smell or residue. I’ve used these for years. My dog has allergies to liquid flea meds. This is totally worth a try.

Beware and Be aware
Came home, after working 12 hours, to my dog with a swollen right eye.I bought this for my dogs, and on the 7th day my male dog (11y.o) was retching and hacking in addition to scratching. I didn’t realize the extent of the neck rash, until I gave him a bath, after the vet visit. The vet attributes his swollen right eye to an allergic reaction and the only thing new, that was introduced to them, was this collar. The vet also tried to illicit a cough reaction, thinking maybe it was a respiratory illness, but the hacking never happened again. He is now on a neomycin, polymyxin and dextamethasone eye drop suspension. Had to give him pain medication, just to settle him down, because he was so twitchy and restless.Thankfully my female dog (14y.o) did not get the same reaction, although her neck was starting to become pinkish red and she was also scratching her neck area, she got a bath as well.Needless to say, as soon as I saw his eye, the collar were removed immediately from both of them and into the trash they went. Can’t get a refund, since I tossed the can that they came in.They never had a reaction from the adams plus flea and tick collar that was smooth, but then again those never seem to work.

Nice Collar for Large Dog
While sheltering in place, my dog is getting outside a lot. I don’t have any flea and ticks but I wanted to prevent any future problems. I have never tried a flea and tick collar before but I don’t like the messy and gooey topicals.I opened the tin and found two collars. The collar is a nice material and very flexible. It is easy to put on the dog and you simply slide the end through the clasp and cut off extra material. I wasn’t exactly sure how tight to make the collar but noticed in the instructions it said “two fingers” from neck. So not too tight or too loose. I read a few reviews about the color burning the dog but I wonder if those reviewers were having their dog wear the color too tight. I am on day three and no problems. What I like about this collar is that is really flexible and a bit stretchy. This seems to help with the fit and make it comfortable for my dog. The collar fits nicely around my dog’s neck and I am able to cover the collar with my regular collar.I read someplace that if you have flea and tick problems, you need a number of products for your pet, home and your yard. I don’t believe a collar alone will fix a infestation but this collar is really great for peace of mind and preventing fleas and killing flea eggs.

Delivery was great. I used the Adams dip and then added the collars. We are tick free!

Different effects on different dogs
I’ve been a fan of other Adam’s products so I thought I would get these collars also and put one on each of my dogs. Two Australian Shepherds, Male is 4 yr old and 65 lbs with long hair, Female is 2 yr old at 35 lbs with medium hair and is actually a “mini” breed. Both have been neutered/spayed.They both had fleas that I could not get rid of after treating the yard with a very expensive product and giving them baths with Dawn but within a week the fleas were back and Yes the yard was treated twice at 7 days apart in order to kill any that hatched from eggs.I also bought Capstar to kill the fleas within 30 minutes and that worked great on both dogs within 2 hours. BTW, this works great with the same dose on both size dogs.So the next day we put on the flea collars so as to not over expose the dogs to too many drugs at once. The larger and older male is doing just fine with this collar and his long hair keeps it from his skin – no issues at all. After 2 days, the female refused to eat and had attempted to throw up 2-3 times per day for 2 days when I realized it was probably a reaction to the collar. Removed the collar and bathed her again to remove any residue. She had no skin rash either, probably because of her medium length fur.Although she is quite alert and has a cool nose temperature, she still walks slow, refuses any food (actually spit out gravy canned food I placed into her mouth) and still refuses to drink. We have changed her water to pedialite and have isolated her until she gets better.I will update when more info is available and wish others had given more info on what they or their vet had done or recommended.I give this 2 stars because the collar is just fine for 1 dog but this is frightening for the other.
