Premium long-lasting and has a very pleasant soft natural smell
Having had cats my entire life, I am extremely particular about the litter that I use. And when I say I have tried them all I’m not exaggerating. I’ve settled on a particular type of brand these last 10 to 15 years, in my opinion it’s the absolute best litter on the planet, and it has zero clay, it’s 100% natural unscented and dust free. I use my litter as the basis for comparison of this litter. Although I will never give up my litter, this comes in within my top 3. And that’s saying a lot. The fact that it has no clay and it’s dust free is massive. The litter I use is almost the texture of sand, which is what my cats prefer. This is not that texture, but it’s not pellet sized either, which my cats will never use. It’s somewhere in between but not nearly as big as a pellet and it’s softer and so much more absorbent than any pellet, it hard clumps almost as good as my litter. I was impressed with this litter I did not know what to expect because of the size of the granules, but several of my cats tried it and didn’t hate it. Several of my other cats who are very particular about their litter would not try it. But I will order this again, just because I like to be able to have several different types of litter on hand, sometimes mixing them is the best result. This litter is not unscented, and I never buy litter that is not unscented, however I will say the scent is natural, it’s not infused with any chemical or secondary scent, and that fact is obvious the minute you open the bag. There’s nothing worse than having a strong chemical unnatural scent wafting through your house coming from your cats’ litter. This scent is very light and it can’t quite place what it smells like, all I can say is it smells clean. It smells like a natural byproduct of the litter and it is light and airy it has almost a fruity yet floral very vague pairing, it’s fresh and pleasant. It’s not overpowering and it’s not in the air. And I’m glad, because one of the things that drives me crazy is when you can smell your cats’ litter on their fur or paws. To me that just proves that it is unnatural and probably not healthy. I understand clay letter is the standard because it has been around the longest, but it is not healthy for you or your cats. And it’s also heavy, and the lightweight clay litter is dangerous, I can actually be toxic over time. So this litter gets four stars because I like everything about it except for the price point. The litter I purchase is pricey, but this is actually more pricey than mine. Pound for pound this is about 7% more, which is why it didn’t get five stars. If it was in line with the price that I’m willing to pay for a good premium quality litter, it would be getting five stars for me. I will probably keep this litter within my top three rotation. I recommend this letter if you are looking to try something different. It appears that it is long-lasting, so you could actually mix it in with your current litter little by little until it replaces it all together.

I never owned a cat in my 45 years, so I’m new to all this.My friend was really excited to try this new cat litter, and it definitely has some pros, but ultimately I think we’re going to have to switch back to clay. I ended up trying to mix it with normal litter so they would use it, and it wouldnāt be a total waste of money. Itās also hard to sift with a normal scoop.I LOVE the low tracking, the clumping ability, and the fact that it’s flushable. However, it doesn’t cover poop odor at all, and in fact, I think it actually makes it smell worse! I haven’t had this problem with any other litter I’ve used since I’ve been caring for my friend’s cats. No changes to the cat’s diet, and our other box with clay litter doesn’t stink, just this one. After they poop, it smells like a petting zoo x100 in the room with that box until I scoop it, and the smell actually makes me gag. Until he pooped the first time in this litter, I was so excited and planning to set up an auto delivery, but unfortunately, I can’t get past that.

If you can handle the smell itās great!
I really wanted to like thisā¦ but it smells awful. Fresh out of the bag it has a slightly sweat almost yeast like smell, not offense but not good either. Once the cats start using it creates a very strong sweet sour rotten smell. I thought my trash had rotten fruit in it, nope just this litter. Even after scooping the smell never went away. I only used one bag and then I had to be doneā¦ it was super easy to scoop and nothing stuck to the tray! Way better than clay litter. I didnāt try to flush but thatās a great feature.
