Discrete and effective!
I never write reviews. But this really scratched my itch. Its a great idea matched with great execution. Its small, discrete, easy to use. I hated using 2 seperate collars, i was not a fan of the shock aspect and how big the hardware was on typical shock collars. This is all your dog needs. And its so much smaller / easier. (I havent used it long so not sure for durability and longevity with battery etc, but the design and concept is 10/10 and im excited to have it!) its clear this team put alot of thought into the product, so i say, thank you!

Great device, faulty clip.
I was going to give this 5 stars, however the clip seemed to disappoint. Only had this for 5 days and it’s now lost in the woods. Other than that, it worked great and my dog responded to it well. Just wish it wasn’t gone so quickly. Lesson learned. If you are purchasing this with the intent to put it on your dog’s vest/harness, I recommend using another way other than just the clip.

Excellent Training Device!!
The Kona Clip training device is absolutely amazing! I’ve tried a few different training tools before, but nothing has worked as well as this. My dog responded almost immediately and was able to be trained much more easily because of the device. Within just a few days, he started obeying basic commands like “sit” and “lie down” with no hesitation. One of the biggest issues I had was leash pulling during walks, but that’s completely changed. He walks calmly by my side now, and our daily walks are finally enjoyable. The design of the Kona Clip is also really smart—it’s comfortable for my dog and easy for me to use. I love that it doesn’t rely on harsh methods and still gets great results. This tool has helped us build a stronger bond and better communication. I highly recommend it to any dog owner looking for an effective and humane training solution!

Great idea, maybe works better for smaller dogs with low prey drive
I have a Basenji so this is a mild inconvenience at best for him. Not rating because of that, but the range is quite poor. I find that there is a delay in when i press the button to when the module vibrates when the clip is on the other side of my body, and I dont want to hold the button in my leash hand. It just seems like when I press the button the delay is significant enough that it the teaching moment is over.

the perfect device for my dog and I both in size and function
As I write this, we just finished our final dog walk of the day. I had our newly received Kona Clip on the inside of Nellie’s collar. Nellie is our little one. She is an ultra high energy mini Aussie pup. Recently, she’s been showing some long-awaited improvement in her leash behavior. But it has come at the expense of dispensing of many, many pieces of freeze-dried liver treats, along with constant vocal and lead corrections. With the Kona Clip, I can already see training will be easier with much faster progress. This was immediately evident on tonight’s walk. What I appreciate about the Kona Clip, besides it’s relatively small size and simplicity of use, is that it appears I will only need use it sparingly. The vibration is perfect at getting Nellie’s attention and getting her back on track.

Not worth the price!!!
I won’t say that this device didn’t work but the effects of the vibration didn’t last more than two days for my dog. I did contact customer support and he was very helpful but I guess I expected more for the price of it. I did purchase an ultrasonic device that works much better for my dog. I’m not going to return it because I believe “Caveat Emptor” applies in the case.

die Befestigungsklemmen sind nur für “Minihalsbänder” geeignet. Am Besestigungssystem sollte der Hersteller noch arbeiten. Das Halsband sollte nicht breiter als 20mm und nicht dicker als 2..3mm sein. Den Sender klemme ich mir an den Halsausschnitt meines T-Shirts, das geht ganz gut.Zur Funktion. Mit etwas Training habe ich erreicht, daß der Hund auch in Situationen unterbricht und zu mir zurück kommt, in denen er sonst schlecht oder gar nicht mehr ansprechbar war. Ich benutze es selten und auch nur als allerletzte Möglichkeit, wenn sonst gar nichts mehr geht.Ob das Gerät auch einen Spaziergang bei Regen heil übersteht, kann ich nicht sagen. Ich hab’s (noch) nicht ausprobiert. Die Abdeckung für den USB-Ladeanschluss löst sich sehr leicht. Wenn der Hund sich einmal schüttelt, ist sie draußen. Ausserdem machen die Schalter und die USB-Buchsen keinen sehr Vertrauenswürdigen Eindruck, sieht eher aus und fühlt sich auch so an wie Spielzeug. Eine USB-Buchse hat auch (schon) einen leichten Wackelkontakt.Aber bis jetzt funktioniert es gut. Soweit Kaufempfehlung. Den Punkt Abzug wegen der nicht so gut gelungenen Befestigungstechnik. Habe das Gerät zum etwas niedrigeren Angebotspreis gekauft. Dann ist auch das Preis/Leistungs-Verhältnis in Ordnung.

Ich hatte das Gerät gekauft, um meinem Hund zusätzlich zu meiner Stimme einen spürbaren Impuls zu geben.Allerdings war ich ein wenig enttäuscht, wie schwach das Vibrieren am Empfänger tatsächlich nur ist. Mein Hund wiegt gute 10kg und den Empfänger habe ich innen ans Geschirr angeklickt. Ohne Bewegung hat er das wohl gemerkt, in Bewegung nicht. Das Teil vibriert ungefährt so stark wie ein Vibrationsalarm beim Handy, mehr nicht. Bei der Größe von 4x4x2cm wäre technisch sicher mehr möglich gewesen.Auch die Verriegelung vom Clips ist fingernagelmordend, hält, wenn verrieglt, aber recht gut.Gut finde ich die Auflademöglichkeit per modernem USB-C, aber das ist vermutlich auch nicht mehr anders erlaubt.Trotzdem schade, für mich ist das in Summe nutzlos.
