Does not prevent splashing
The product itself is fine. I’m giving three stars because it didn’t work the way I had hoped it would… This ended up being a failed attempt at preventing my cat from splashing her water all over the place. She figured out the system immediately and started making a mess. With that said, she did drink from it after a few minutes of playing. There has definitely been more playing than drinking though.

Well made water dish
This is a great concept, just my dogs did not like it. Tried for several days he just refused to drink from it, I even pressed it down so that the water would cover the lid area and nope he just did not like it, I tested it out with the cats and they were fascinated with it for a short time and then turned their noses up to it. It is well made and seems like it would last, the price is not going to break you. I wish that my dogs and cats liked it.

Its a decent bowl
This bowl is great for the most part. It doesn’t spill and my dogs can’t tip it over. The only negative thing I have about it is that it doesn’t let lots of water through at a time, however, thats great for small sips throughout the day. I have a husky who tends to drink lots of water at once and noticed she would prefer a different type of bowl.

My dog is a pug mix. When he drinks water he must get some in his windpipe. He spits up after each time.So I bought this bowl. It did help with the spit ups. It made him slow down when he drinks. I liked that.However, you have to separate the floater at least every other day and thoroughly wash it. If you dont it sours. For thus reason I do not recommend.
