As a dog groomer I’m always looking for something better. I tried using regular dog toothbrushes but it would scare the pups and they would refuse the toothbrush coming near their mouth. With the finger brush it’s not as scary for them and has been accepted by all the pups I’ve groomed.

Good, but sticky/toxic coating on the toothbrush
These brushes are good but there is a stick/toxic coating on the silicone brush. As they also sell these brushes for baby use, and there is no reason for them to coat the brush with an adhesive material, I am lowering the review to three stars.Aside from the sticky coating this kind of brush is probably the healthiest type of brush for animals, humans, adults, and children to use. There is no plastic to be rough on the teeth (as most people while using a standard brush wear out the bristles and then end up scratching their teeth with the plastic thinking they’re still brushing with the bristles that are sandwiched between their teeth and plastic). These silicone brushes should outlast a typical brush, as silicone brushes almost always outlasts their plastic counterparts.In, the end this kind of toothbrush has a lot going for it but the sticky coating is unacceptable. At $0.34 a piece after tax, I will keep these, and clean them as I use them. But my original plan of gifting these is no longer an option. If one cares about the receiving mouth, they will make sure they thoroughly cleansed the adhesive before they use this toothbrush.P.S Update – I found the best way to clean them is by adding a tablespoon of backing soda per a cup of water and boil them. Just be careful not to squeeze the bristles while they are boiling, as it will deform the bristles. I destroyed one brush by trying to clean it with lemon essential oil which nearly dissolved the whole brush. I’m guessing the stickiness might be from the silicon itself. After boiling, the brushes are still sticky, but more of a normal silicone stickiness the adhesive residue disappears. This may not be a premium silicone brush, but after it’s cleaned, they become good. Because it’s so easy to clean, I am updating my ratting to 4 stars. On a side note the brush cleans the teeth, gums, and tongue very well much better than the plastic toothbrushes.
