Perfect for a dog on a diet
My senior dog is on a relatively strict diet, there’s very little wiggle room for calories. This was vet approved as a nice dental treat! My pup loves the smell. They arrived nice and fresh, a little bendy and easy to chew (though my dog does still have all his teeth)! It’s not a highly durable treat, but I know that and my dog doesn’t mind! It’s a great alternative to the regular greenies. And greenies themselves are better than the alternatives, I’ve tried several for him that are VOHC approved and only greenies have really reduced the tartar and bad breath for my dog!

Always great for my dog’s teeth. They are very clean using this product and she loves them. Vet says they definitely help keep her teeth clean and she has only had her teeth cleaned twice in her live and she’s 10 yrs old!!

Greenies for Stinky Face
These are a very special treat for my boy. He loves Greenies, but due to their price, they are not something I can get for him normally. The price is fair, just out of my budget. With that said, my shiba LOVES Greenies. So much so, that the first day we got these, he was extra loving to me. I know that my brat was just trying to butter me up so he could have another, but it was nice having him be extra cuddly. His love is not the biggest benefit for me… the biggest benefit for me is that even after one Greenie his rank breath improves to a point of tolerable. My boy’s breath is beyond puppy breath and always has been through his his 16 years. Being that he will side eye you in the worst way if you even mention brushing his teeth, Greenies are a great alternative for helping with his breath. He has only had one (ok, two) a day since we got them 3 days ago so they haven’t eliminated the stench of death yet, but they have improved the breath of my Stinky Face immensely. My boy is a smaller dog and particular with the size of his treats. I choose the petite size which he can eat through pretty quickly. If he didn’t have to guard treats bigger than a mozzarella stick, he might benefit more from a bigger Greenie that he could chew on for awhile, but alas, I will never know.

Easy Home Doggie Dental Care – Vet Recommended
Greenies do not always top my dogs list of favorite treats, but they always rank near number one. Our vet recommends these over many of the other treats available commercially, and they do seem to be nutritionally superior to many other treats I have compared them to. Greenies is a trusted name and has been around for a long time. The company also makes Pill Pockets, a great way to get your dog (or cat) to take oral medication. (Until they figure out you are hiding pills in them, and then they just eat the Pill Pocket AROUND the medication, no matter how finely you chop the medicine up. lol)Recommended by the VOHC (Veterinary Oral Health Council) to help with tartar control and build up, I feel like these do something PAWSitive (sorry) for my pets, rather than just giving them empty calories. Dental cleanings are an expensive annual service for our animals. Each tooth extraction costs more, and one less tooth in the mouth means it’s that much more difficult for our dogs to chew their dry kibble. If I can do anything to protect their teeth and help keep their mouths in shape, I’ll do it. (Besides – they enjoy these much more than when I stick a toothbrush in their little mouths.)If I can provide them with treats that don’t contribute to weight issues, that’s a treat I feel good about giving them. When they are happy to get the treat – and I know it’s good for them, providing joint support and keeping their coats and skin in great shape – I’m happy to give it to them. We now have three dogs (teacup Chihuahua, Chorgi (Chihuahua and Corgi), and a Chihuahua/Italian Greyhound mix) and all three gobble them up. I had to have my teacup Chihuahua’s knees replaced last spring – and she’s only four. I want to do everything possible to keep her joints working as well as they can because I don’t want her to go through another painful surgery. (And I definitely can’t afford one!)These don’t leave a mess on my carpet. My only teeny, tiny complaint would be that they collect every dog hair possible, meaning your pet ingests the hair as they eagerly chomp on these. I’m pretty sure they attract hairs that have even just THOUGHT about falling out. I tend to rinse these off on the extremely rare occasion they sit on the floor for awhile. (Totally unnecessary, but I wouldn’t want to eat all that hair – and I can’t imagine they enjoy it, either.) I love that these are available in five different sizes, for different size dogs. I usually purchase the Teenie size, intended for dogs 5-15 lbs. When we were out of these, I quickly clicked on Petite – and didn’t realize my mistake until I opened the box and was a little surprised at how big they are compared to the size I normally buy. (Petite size are for 15-25 lb dogs.) It all worked out well, my dogs just get half the Petites.Good quality. Fair price. Vet recommended. Many treats in the package. Dental care in a treat. Easy to transfer to the glass candy container I use to store their treats (rather than the treats that crumble and break apart). I’m happy with Greenies. My four-legged roommates enjoy Greenies. We’ll be buying these for a long time.

Saved me hundreds of $$
The last time I took my beagle to the vet, I was told she would need to be put under general anesthesia to get her teeth scaled. The plaque was especially bad on her molars, very hard and caked on. I wasn’t too fond of the idea of putting her under, and I was put off by the high cost of the procedure. I decided to give Greenies a try. I figured I’d pay $20 in the hopes that it would keep me from spending hundreds. It was easy to get into the routine of giving my dog one of these every day after her walk (she would definitely remind me if I forgot), and I opted for the weight management version because she is a beagle and can pack on the pounds if I’m not careful about her food intake.I was shocked that after a few weeks, about half of the plaque was gone on one of her molars on the side she chews on the most. After about 3 months on these (just 2 boxes purchased) the plaque is completely cleared on her molars on both sides. There is some plaque on her other teeth, but that is much more manageable with brushing. Since then I’ve started giving her the treats a few times a week instead of daily, and it’s kept the plaque at bay. These are great! They saved me and my dog from an extremely costly procedure. It also allowed the vet to get a better look at her teeth so we know that they are healthy and none need to be pulled.I would definitely recommend these! I wish I had taken before and after pictures.
