Great build and simple controls, but non-memory settings and fixed airflow direction.
Good build quality. The plastic feels durable and well-constructed. There are rubbery feet on the bottom for smooth flooring like hardwood and tile. The feet provide friction, which helps prevent sliding and shifting. It works well on carpet, too, which is how I’m using it.To get at the filter, you open the unit at the bottom. It easily pulls out, allowing for cleaning and replacements. The buttons on the surface are touch sensitive rather than ones that depress. While I prefer physical buttons, these ones respond well. That said, I much prefer the simple turn knob on my Febreze Tower Air Purifier.What I don’t like is the blue light at the front of the device. By default, it continuously pulses off and on. If you press the sun icon it switches to solid light. Clicking the icon again turns the light off. This would be a good solution if the unit remembered my settings. It doesn’t. When I turn it off and back on, it resets to the default state, which is a pulsing light at the slowest fan speed. Since I run this in my bedroom at night, I don’t want the light on. Also, I want it running on high. It’s annoying having to cycle the light and fan speed each time. That’s two different buttons I must press two times each.One other missing feature is fan direction. The fan blows straight upwards. There’s no option to redirect the air. I wish that the fins on top could be turned to at least provide a 60-degree angle. They don’t. Unfortunately, it only provides a 90-degree angle. If you want something that blows air at you, this isn’t it.I measured the decibels of the fan speeds at: (1) Low = 44db. (2) Medium = 52dB. (3) High = 67dB. It’s loud, but it’s a peaceful white noise type of loud. I find the noise to be restful when I’m sleeping at night.### Conclusion ###Well-built and stable with easy filter access and smooth touch controls. It delivers strong upward airflow and soothing white noise. The main drawbacks are the non-memory settings and fixed airflow direction.
