How did we get our start?
Founder Katie McCarron turned her nutritional eye to her aging poodle, Rosie, who had lost weight and interest in food. The unnatural supplements in commercial dog food shocked Katie. She began to cook homemade meals, expanding into more healthy dog and cat products.

Chicken better than Salmon
My cat enjoys the chicken one better. She eats the cooked salmon I make so I thought she would like the salmon flavor too but not so much. The consistency on both is the same, she enjoys the pumpkin and licks that up but pushes the salmon around. Oh and she is a little picky (obviously) so your cat might love them both.

IT’S SOUP
It’s SOUP.There’s basically nothing in these larger than basic packages and what is in there is SOUP. There’s no chunks in the food, it’s just mush. And very little mush at that! It’s MAYBE 3 tablespoons of mush? Which is not worth the price. What a waste of money for a bunch of nothing.

Puree texture my cat is having dental surgery and this food he likes and he can eat it without chewing, just like almost drinking but it’s quality ingredients that he loves

Pricey Pouch Raises Concerns…
While I appreciate the quality of ingredients in this item, I have some concerns reflected in my three-star rating, especially regarding its price compared to its nutritional value. For example, the salmon pouch contains only around 58 calories, whereas cats typically need between 130 to 200 calories per day, depending on factors like weight and age. Unfortunately, this product falls short in calories but comes with a hefty price tag.Other human-grade brand options I know, without by-products and with low phosphorus levels for kidney health, usually offer between 130 to 170 calories per 5 oz to 5.5 oz serving, at a more reasonable cost. So, I find this product overpriced in comparison. Additionally, given the trend of switching to wet food due to urinary issues, this expensive item isn’t practical as a long-term solution…Though I admire the good intentions behind making this food, its high price undermines its value. So two out of my three cats enjoyed and ate this food without any problems.

Great for a cats digestive system!
Purchased for my cat that stopped eating due to a blockage. This product was recommended to me by an employee at Mini-Pet Mart. It worked without the need for medication. My cat loved it. It is an excellent product providing needed nutrition for the cats digestive system. Her favorite was the chicken and pumpkin!
