Great crate alternative
This works perfectly with the play pen to contain our dogs at night. The extension adds just enough room to have 2 beds.

THIS IS A MUST HAVE FOR KITTENS & CATS.!
The Metal Top for the Midwest Playpen is a MUST HAVE for kittens and cats! Without the top, they would just climb right out and escape! I fostered kittens for many years, and have my own rescue cats, so I used this setup alot.! It always works well.! It is easy to setup & take down! The top cover is sturdy enough to hold my (12-pound) cats on top. I have used zip-ties in addition to the clips that are provided… the zip-ties hold everything together firmly. There is plenty of space inside for a Litterbox, Food/Water, a Tower and even a small crate! Two of my fosters are shown in my photos – they were “upgraded” into this setup after their spay/neuter surgeries, and they LOVED the extra space (compared to a regular cage)!I have also used this when any of my own cats needed “quarantine” for any reason, illness/injury/etc.I own multiple products made by “Midwest Homes for Pets” and I am satisfied with all of them!! Highly recommend this brand! If you don’t subject it to moisture, it won’t rust.!!

Very easy to set up
Less than $20 but it was the best ever I spent. It fit over my ex pen perfectly kept my dog shaded all day also was kind of a security cap to make sure that they didn’t get out which my dogs don’t do that but just in case. I’m glad that I took the time to purchase it. I had a long hot weekend and it was wonderful. The one downfall is the fact that it hooks was zip ties thankfully, I had a bunch of S hooks in my car and that is what I used to hook it with that worked better than the zip ties.

Works well
I bought this to keep my 1 year old Shiba Inu from jumping over the cage. I want to keep him in the exercise cage while I’m at work to give him more room to burn off his energy. I hate leaving him in the crate. The only issue is, he’s an escape artist. Literally everything I have tried he can escape from. Not with this.This fits perfectly over the exercise cage. The latches that it comes with work fine. They are nice quality and are easy to clip the lid down with. The only thing I can complain about is how large it is. It only folds in half so it takes up a lot of room when trying to store it, unless you push it up against a wall. Overall I am happy with the purchase and it works as expected.

Cheap, bad design
Pretty worthless, I am sorry to say. The grommets were not placed evenly, sometimes leaving a large gap between . Worse though, is that they have replaced the clips to connect it to pen with ZIP TIES. That means you have to cut them off and replace them every time you need to lift the lid. Instructions say that you can buy more zip ties at the hardware store; how convenient. I want the clips back, not worthless zip ties.

Excellent
I did not want puppy to climb out of pen and I did not want predators to get puppy outside while in the pen.It’s was good, but then hard to change water bowls since you have to crawl in. It’s too heavy once top is on for one person to move alone. One person can move easier without the top on. I used a tarp to cover 1/2 the top for shade and found that works just as good and lighter.

Works perfectly
I just started taking my two Westies to Barn Hunt trials. My tiny one can climb out of the pen when it is not covered, in an instant. After buying one of these tops, the pen is much more stable and she doesn’t even try to climb out. It is wonderful to know she is secure. It also does give a great platform for a tarp to be placed on the pen (for sun and/or rain protection) and attached with bungee cords. I agree that the clips that come with it are cheaply made and small, but they work fine and for my purpose they are perfect. I have a tiny car and small and light is best. That is the same reason I prefer the top to be made of a lighter weight material than the pen itself. Others have commented that the company is saving money by making the top out of different metal, but again, for me, the weight is important to me as I stuff the car with all this paraphernalia. It makes it easier to handle as well since it is a challenge putting together and breaking down the pen and top alone, while trying to manage two dogs in parallel. Net: I LOVE this product and it enabled me to do this sport with my dogs.

Éxito total ! Fácil de mover, plegar e instalar, fácil de limpiar y hasta ahora sin Corrosión ; inicialmente compré un set más una adición, luego compré otra adición ( dos cuerpos) . La compré para hacer una zona aislada en mi garage con drenaje, para que mis mascotas lo usen como wc ; ya aprendieron; entran a su zona, retiro los sólidos, lavo los líquidos y todo en orden, higiénico y estético!
