It works well and it’s easy to clean
We’ve been using this watering fountain for 6+ months now and it is so much better than the one we had previously. First, it’s quiet and the motor hasn’t gone out, a huge positive considering the other’s motor didn’t make it three months before going out. Second, it’s very easy to clean. Once a week, I empty and scrub it, clean the filters,and it’s easy to do. Last, it comes with an extra motor and filters. Three dogs and three cats use this bowl. I add water to it about every other day, just pour it on top with a pitcher, and then give it a thorough cleaning once a week. We are very happy with this water bowl, it has exceeded expectations.

All stainless steel, large enough for multiple cats
I decided to upgrade to a larger, stainless steel fountain for my kitties. They previously shared two separate 3.2 L fountains with a plastic container, and other plastic parts. I wanted to minimize the plastic parts, and upgrade to one larger fountain so I didn’t have to wash multiple fountains. I like this fountain because everything but the the pump and filter holder are stainless steel. This fountain also has the same features I liked about my previous fountain: sensor mode, run every 25 minutes, battery life indicator, and filter replacement indicator. The pump also lights up blue in the tank when the water level is good, and red when the water level is too low. There is a narrow, vertical window that allows you to see the light and water level. What I prefer about this fountain over my previous one, is the cover to the pump motor. The previous one had a square plastic design to hold the filter sponge to the pump, and it was difficult to open. Eventually I broke it while trying to open it to clean it. This fountain has a rounded cover, that is much easier to open. I also appreciate that this came with two fountains and multiple filters. The real test was whether my kitties would prefer this fountain over their old one, and they both immediately drank out of this fountain when given the option. Overall great design with extra accessories.

Whats this fun new thing
As shown in the picture, my pets love this water founation very much. Even though I have bought many pet water founations in the past few years, this dog water founation is my favorite and by far the one that has been used for the longest time, the other one doesn’t work after a few months, but this one has two water pumps and I don’t have to worry if one of them doesn’t work. This is a large pet water founation that can hold 8 liters of water, which is quite enough for my cats, the visible water level makes it clearer when I need to add water and it’s easy to clean unlike the plastic one that’s been used for a long time and the bottom is slippery and not clean. This water founation pump is very quiet and at first I thought my pet would be scared and now I think I’m overthinking it, it works in two modes, my cat loves the sensing mode, every time my cat walks by the water it comes out, even though my cat doesn’t want to drink it gets excited to see the water come out. The instruction manual says that the filter element must be changed once every 7 days, so I bought 13 filter elements, this water founation seems to have a separate filter element to sell in amazon, but I still choose to buy more filter elements so that I can replace them later

Rusting bowl and top corrosion – Clearly not solid stainless
Rusting Stainless?! Updated post 12/18/25 – clearly not stainless steel as lid and edge along bowl are now rusting and have corrosion on the top piece. My dog has not hanging tags or dangling collar, this is just corrosion of the metal. I wash regularly with a gentle brush and sponge and this corrosion and rust has been growing over the past few months. I have had this 8 months now. I used the second motor after about 4 months, and switched to all charcoal filters and no sponge in the motor to end the moldy smell and moldy spill over into water, which has kept the water cleaner, but now the bowl is rusting and sadly my animals have been drinking that rust, and getting metal leakage from whatever metal this is, as to my knowledge stainless steel does not rust. I have stainless cookware and mixing bowls that are 30+ year old and no rust spots at all.Previous post- The Sponges and filters smell awful after very short period. One has been replaced with 2 replacements and still smell very moldy very quickly. I noticed my dog and cat stopped drinking from it and how I realized the tiny sponge in the motor was moldy. This product is in air conditioning all day and runs constantly as both pets began by drinking from it regularly. There is no replacement for the very small sponge in the pump itself, and you probably wouldn’t notice it, except I couldn’t figure out where the moldy smell was coming from, and discovered it that way. If I could return I would, but too late. So we are unable to use due to the constant moldy smell, even after replacing sponges, washing sponges, it comes right back.

Great product
This is my third fountain for my small heard of dogs and it has been my favorite. I have 5 small dogs and one cat and the battery will last one week even in a high traffic area that it is constantly going off. The stainless steel is easy to clean and it seems very durable. Overall function is great and my dogs are drinking a lot more water which will keep them healthier. I typically fill the water only twice a week.
