It worked for tangles but…
These are sturdy little combs and a great idea to avoid cross contamination if you are grooming dogs. I wanted these to give away and also to use on small puppies if they had any fleas on them. While my older dogs can utilize flea products young puppies or new mothers cannot. I was anxious to explore these combs. There may be nice for getting a large grown flea off but tiny fleas simply go through the teeth of these plastic combs. I found that they would work for getting out small tangles but I wouldn’t recommend them for small fleas on your puppies. I did use one comb to groom this puppy’s hind quarters and it worked fairly well with a liquid detangling solution but I could not get a single flea off of his face with the comb. Here is a photo of a puppy I tried it on. Successful as for grooming but not for removing fleas. If you want a small grooming comb this would certainly work.

Excellent value for very good flea combs
These colorful flea combs work very well to remove fleas from our cats and dogs. Having so many pets, it’s almost a necessity to have many combs. We keep some in our back packs as well for when we’re hiking. The flea combs can help to locate ticks as well (we carry tick tools as well). These plastic combs are made well, are comfortable, and won’t hurt the pet like the metal ones can. The size of the teeth and the length of the comb is perfect.Having 120 is more than even we need, so we are sending some to school for the teacher / nurse to send home with the kiddos who need them, as this comb is also very efficient as a lice comb. The multiple colors are great, except for the black. Since fleas and tick are black, the black wouldn’t be so good for them. The lice are tan, so the black may work for them. I’d prefer white instead of black.120 combs for $20 makes each comb only 17¢, an excellent value. That makes it easier to not have to clean them and perhaps just dispose of them. If they’re cleaned right after use and oils aren’t allowed to accumulate on the teeth, they’re easy to clean.

We have six permanent feline residents and run a foster kitten rescue. I’m sorry to say, we know all about flea combs!These flea combs work very well. We have tried pricier metal combs. But in the end we also come back to cheap basic plastic combs. They work best.Good quality. High visibility.And having so many of them means you don’t have to worry about cleaning them.

Dark colors are useless
As a school nurse, these are the perfect for identifying lice. Unfortunately, the dark colors are useless for what I use it for. I would like to be able to buy in bulk without the dark combs. Still, a great value for the money. So far, the combs have held up well for what I need.
