Topical and also mosquitoes
I love vectra it’s a little oily but only last for a short time. I always used it on my other pet . It’s for fleas , ticks and I like it especially because it also does mosquitos. And I’m not feeding my dog more harmful stuff that is in my opinion not good for them to eat . Also no heart worm pills that are expensive because thus wards off mosquitos . You do what’s best for you but I’m sticking with vectra

Great price for genuine Vectra.
Great price for a six pack of flea and tick control. Last year we switched to the product that could be purchased at Sam’s Club. Did not work so great. Vet said that product had pretty much run its course and was not as good as it should be. Went back to vectra this year and so far no critters on the dogs. We live in a tick-saturated area and have to give our dogs a once over whenever they come in. Found nothing yet this year.

Just as expected!
Excellent repelling g annoying insects that terrorize my poor pups. It was too strong for one of the pups and caused significant irritation, but the other pup had no issues and will continue to use this.

OK but not tick repellent
I bought this because Nexgard was not repellent/ preventative (and had a scary history of seizures in some dogs). My problem was mostly ticks picked up during hikes. My boy does not really hang out with other dogs for long so fleas were not an issue. Vectra does kill ticks but only after they latch on and hitch a ride home with my dog. They’ll usually die and fall off in 24h. So it is not repellent as advertised.Another problem is application: it is too liquid and tends to empty all up on lower back (nothing left in the tube by the time you get to upper back/shoulders) and it leaks for a while after application and takes a long time to dry. Unlike what is advertised, it also leaves residue on the dog fur for several days.Plus the price rose by about $25.00 since I last bought a batch on Amazon last year! Dog “owners” are not cash cows!!

Definitely Worth buying
Fleas, OMG this definitely worked. I could not seem to get rid of the fleas on my 3 dogs. I bought this and it worked Wonders will definitely buy again. Hopefully. I don’t have to. hopefully. My dogs will not get fleas again this next summer, but Yes, it is Very, Very good. I hadn’t had the problem with fleas on my dogs before. I don’t know what happened this year. I had tried so many things even cut their hair Pretty short on all 3. I almost felt like shaving them off. It was just so hard to get rid of the fleas. A breeder recommended it to me and I noticed from the first one or two days, fleas were gone. it also has your dog smelling pretty good for days. Absolutely Love it. Will DEFINITELY buy again if I need to <3

Used this until our dog’s “Trifexis” medication arrived. Worked well, no side effects.
We recently got a new “rescue” dog that was due for her next dose of flea and tick prevention. I normally use Trifexis which is only available by prescription. We used Trifexis for 16 years with our previous rescue and it worked great but while waiting for an appointment with our veterinarian to get another prescription for Trifexis we needed to keep our new dog protected. I purchased Vectra 3D and found it super easy to apply and completely effective. Our dog suffered no ill effects at all and it seems to have given great protection until we were finally able to switch our pup to prescription Trifexis. I am completely happy with Vectra 3D.
