Gorgeous Heavy Collar
This is super pretty and well-made. I highly recommend it as long as you have a dog bigger than mine. I have a Chorkie who is only 11 pounds, so this weighed him down too much for his own comfort (I honestly felt bad putting it on him, but I had to try). I’m sad because I really love the look of it, it’s just thick and therefore heavy (it truly is well-made and leather), plus, the buckle adds weight to it. He’s used to wearing a much lighter collar, so this doesn’t work for him. Though, props to the makers, they really made it so it does actually adjust to his neck size! It also goes a lot bigger than that, so it’d fit a wide range of pups. I want to say I recommend this for a dog of at least 15 lbs, but please don’t quote me on that. I just got a little thrown off because it said it was for “small dogs,” and I do consider my dog small, but in this case, I suppose he should be considered extra small.

I really like the design of this collar, you don’t have to worry about having to tuck in the end of the collar or have it flop around – it simply slides to a larger or smaller opening with no ‘end’ to deal with. There is quiet a size range too. So it’s easy to figure out the right size. My pup has been wearing it for a few weeks now and it’s been snowy and rainy and it still looks like new. The material is interesting – looks leather and feels as described: silicone leather. I usually pick a pin type buckle design (with a prong that fits into the hole) because I have had dogs break the side release type buckle that this one has – but this one is pretty sturdy. I don’t think it’ll break on me. I also appreciate the simple eco friendly packaging. Would recommend.

So I didn’t notice the “Medium Dogs” when I ordered this first but, thankfully for me and my Lab/Mastiff cross, it fits big dogs too at its maximum size.I was looking for something either leather or silicone because the fabric ones bother my dog resulting in him itching and often injuring himself. Since switching him to this, he has been scratching far less around his neck.And, like I said, he’s a Lab/Mastiff, so this wouldn’t fit if it were only for medium dogs.

This dog collar is made of an interesting material that’s supposedly a faux leather made of silicone. The collar is designed to be waterproof and durable.When I found out that the collar was made of silicone, I was worried that it might have a rubbery texture that would rub against my dog’s fur, but actually the texture is velvety soft and smooth. I can’t tell if the collar is silicone all the way through or not, as it seems to have a red exterior with a white interior, with the white part only being visible at the ends where the collar is cut. (Either there’s a red silicone coating over top of some other material, or the silicone is only coloured red on the outside.)The collar’s hardware– the buckle and D-ring– are both made of metal, which has a faux antiqued-bronze finish. The collar itself is a shade of red that’s just a tiny bit muted (not a bright flame red), which I really like. The red and bronze go well together to create a nice look.This particular collar is suitable for dogs on the smaller end of medium. Be sure to measure the circumference of your dog’s neck before ordering. My dog is a beagle, and the collar fits her just fine. The silicone material is waterproof, and I think the collar looks nice.

This is a very nice collar for my smaller doodle and it fit great right out of the box. The sizing was spot on and it adjusts easily without feeling bulky or stiff around the neck. The material feels soft and flexible but still durable, and it is clearly well made. I really like that it is waterproof and odor proof, which is a big plus for an active dog. It feels thick and sturdy without being heavy. One thing I was especially impressed with is how accurate it is to the photos online. The colour and overall look are exactly as shown, and I mean exactly, which is always nice when ordering pet gear. Overall this is a solid, good quality dog collar that fits well, looks great, and feels built to last. I would definitely buy this again.
