    Great Product
We have a Lab who has a scar on her rear leg that she sometimes will lick until it bleeds. We’ve used this collar for years to prevent that from happening when we’re not around to keep an eye on her. While the collar is pretty worn, it is still very effective and MUCH more comfortable for her than other types. As I said, we’ve used this collar almost every day for year and it’s still working well. I highly recommend this item–so much so that I’ve purchased a replacement should the old one finally give up the ghost.

    Expensive, Disposable Collar
I was expecting a little bit better quality, considering the cost of this collar. I especially thought it would be a little bit better of the collar since my vet had recommended it. By the second day it was already show signs falling apart and also were my dog was chewing on a little bit. He had poked a hole through it and found exposed pieces of a metal like product that cut his lip on the collar. The reflective material around the edge of the cone was already wearing off the first day. It is extremely loud in two different ways. The first is this has a very loud crinkly noise as he moves or lays down. The second is the Velcro is the loudest Velcro I’ve ever heard in my life. I think it is louder than one of those back braces with Velcro. Spend your money on a better quality product that will last. He has been wearing it only a week and it’s already looking like it needs to go in the trash. after reading all this, you would think that my dog is super hyperactive and just caused all this damage to it. Yes, he is a playful dog, but he has been on medication to keep him calm since the surgery so that he doesn’t tear up his incisions or anything when he is laying at my feet. I keep the collar off of him when I can keep an eye on him and make sure he’s not chewing or biting at his incision. He does not wear it 24 hours a day. That’s what makes this even more disappointing. I don’t believe this is returnable since it was actually used. But I hope the jobmanufacturer reads this and possibly make improvements. The last two photos are 24 hours apart from each other. You can see the reflectiois no jujuwearing off.

    Lightweight
Lightweight and big enough for my 75 lb. Shepherd. I like that it’s lightweight so that it doesn’t feel too heavy on my dog’s head or when they’re moving around. It’s not transparent like the plastic e collars so it does block the peripheral views, but it’s definitely more comfortable for the dog if you’re going to use it for a longer period of time.Got the largest size one for my 75 lb dog. Large enough to keep him from licking his paw. But also because once I put the collar on my dog, he doesn’t even try to reach his paws/work around the collar to get to his paws.

Well made but dog still hated it
Very well made, no problem with the product. But alas, my dog still hated it. Finally, purchased a surgical ā€œonesieā€ suit instead.

    Best e-collar
Love this. Soft and more comfortable for dog, firm but not hard and has padding and soft felt on inside to make more comfortable for the dog. Length long enough to protect a hind leg to make contact to face. Has slit to open for easy feeding. Attaches to collar to stay put. Tried multiple e-collars and this one was the ONLY one that will ever go back around my dogs neck.

You may need to buy a separate collar to fit through the loops
There are loops on this recovery collar designed to thread your dog’s regular collar through; this is necessary to keep it secured on the dog. Unfortunately the loops are small, and if you have a larger dog, it probably has a collar that is too wide for this. I needed to buy a separate collar, 3/4 inch wide or less to work with this. And that collar needs to have one of the ends without a clip or buckle on it, so that it too will fit through these loops. It’s too bad this isn’t mentioned in the item description.

    What a lifesaver!
My 80lb German shepherd underwent emergency surgery. He was struggling so badly with the plastic collar the vet sent him home in. I ordered 4 fabric collars and this one was the best. It fits securely and easily with the adjustable Velcro closure. The little soft clear plastic sections made it so much easier for my dog to see. He was in bumping into everything and scaring himself when he would go in and out of the crate or try to reposition in the typical plastic one, but this one provided all the coverage he needed to keep him from reaching his stitches and was sturdy but flexible and quiet. He did not mind having it on at all and never tried to remove it. Definitely a 5 star!

I took a chance ordering this, as it notes it only goes up to a 20″ neck, as my pup is still young and lanky, but it definitely has room to expand by several inches, so this might be suitable for another 3″. I am not attaching it via his collar, though, just his neck, so maybe it would vary if you intend to attach it to the collar. It has loops that could easily attach to a collar, but it doesn’t need a collar to stay in place because the velcro is strong enough. This is an excellent, high quality item. It’s really well constructed; durable, thick padding, with strong velcro. My rottie/dane cross deals with skin flare ups from time to time, so he’s dealt with the plastic cones to prevent chewing or scratching, and absolutely destroys them. It’s probably a lot more comfortable than those are, at a slightly higher cost. It’s also less painful being nudged with this softer item vs. dealing with the hard plastic cones at the back. The only complaint I have is that because it’s dark, he seems to have a rough time navigating with it, but we’ll see how he does after awhile.

After surgery I got this for my puppy as his plastic cone was really awkward. It is easier for him to sleep and eat but still not play with a toy but that’s fine I just removed it while he chewed a nylabone and put it back on the second he looked at his stitches.

Love this cone ! My dog suffers from yeast overgrowth and will chew herself raw at night when we can’t supervise. I can now put on her cream, her cone & know everyone can get a good nights sleep. Washed well too !

This is very very well made. But it has some problems for my dog. He is blind and his current cone works to keep him from fussing at his eyes and acts like a walking cane, but it’s uncomfortable so I was excited to try this.Issues:1) It comes squished flat and didn’t get round easily. Looked like my boy was hiding in a clam.2) It’s too long for a snort nosed dog. I have a Boston Terrier so his thick neck needed this size, but it’s definitely designed for a long slender dog. He could have done much better if it was about 4 inches shorter.3) The feeding and drinking flaps spin on the collar and end up on top of the dog’s head since there is no way to stop the collar from spinning.I ended up reverting to his old ridged (homemade) cone. Can’t return this since in the 5 seconds he wore it it got dirty. The soft inside is very quick to get drool and goo on it.Only good thing is it will fit my other larger dog if she ever needs a cone again, and I laughed hysterically when he was trying to figure out how to use this one.
