Looks good and works great
This fits my medium size dachshund and works well to keep him on his way when we walk. My dogs (dachshunds) were trained early on in these collars and they are not hard on the neck, but just put a little pressure that helps steer them or keep them on the path. It looks nice on and the color is deep. The quality is very good.

Comfort and function
This collar is so nice for my pup she wore it from April 22 to June 26th 2020 before she grew out of it. I ordered her a medium in berry she was 42 lbs. at the time. She is now 60 lbs. and just put her new purple large collar on today (6/26/20). Yes I ordered the same collar when she grew out of the medium. We liked it that much!It has some give to it so itās comfortable for her to wear. It hangs loose until it is hooked to her leash and she pulls.Sheās very strong and with her 4 wheel drive she can be a force to be reckoned with if she decides to be stubborn. The fact that the snap never popped is saying something and not for lack of her trying!At any rate I never write reviews but this collar is great and you canāt beat the price for the quality.

Fits, well made, maybe too bulky for small dog
Small, 1/2 inch, for 9-11 inch neck behind ears. My dog is 10 inch behind ears and I adjusted the collar so that the OUTSIDE measurement of the collar (not including martingale loop) webbing from ring to ring is 11 inches (11 3/4 including the rings) and his head doesn’t pull out. Possibly he could get it off if his ears were smashed through it but he didn’t want to test that š The best part, is if he were alone and caught his collar on something, the martingale loop provides enough slack that he could pull out of the collar and avoid stranglulation.The collar is sturdy and the overlapped, stitched parts seem a little too stiff and bulky for a small dog. The martingale loop tends to lie kind of flat, not loopy as depicted in the size diagram, because of the overlapped, stitched webbing at the D-ring. Probably should use a thinner or narrower (or both) webbing to make the small collar, or at least the martingale loop. Our dog is a 14-lb chihuahua-daschund ChiWeenie (possibly) Otherwise, it looks well-made and could probably hold up to a Rottweiler pulling hard, if it would fit a Rottweiler.There is a small plastic tag near the buckle, on the collar near the martingale; for ID tags.Neither the webbing, the buckle, nor the rings have rough spots to chafe the dog. He approves.

This collar is made well and looks like it will hold up well. I purchased this collar for my puppy when he was 8 months old and it didnāt seem to work for him at that time, and now it doesnāt fit him anymore. One thing I do remember happening with him the first time I put it on him was he somehow got his mouth stuck in it and then he couldnāt close his mouth. It all happened in a matter of minutes and he was frantic. Thank god I was right there to take it off him…so make sure that you never leave this collar on your dog unattended (the manufacturer says this too). It is meant to be left on your dog for walks or training.I just ordered another collar in a size medium because my boy is 4 years old now and needs a larger size. His neck measures 13ā. I included a picture so you know how to figure out the right size, you donāt want the main part of the collar to be too small, that part of the collar should be approximately the same size as your dogs neck so the collar doesnāt become too tight and choke him when pulled on. You donāt want the main part of the collar to be made any smaller around then your dogs neck! I enclosed a picture to explain what I mean, maybe it will help you too. So expect the collar to fit loosely. You donāt want it too tight. So many reviews are saying that the sizing is way off, but it isnāt, itās that way for a reason.

Love it
I got this as a backup collar for my puppy because the first collar I got him is a little too big. I love that it has a buckle and the martingale pull, but my favorite part is that it has a separate loop for tags and a leash. The tags jingle way less and he doesn’t try to play with them. It’s also easier to clip the leash on and off.

Great
These are the only collars we buy for our dogs and puppies. We raise Rhodesian Ridgebacks and these collars are fantastic for the puppies. They go home with one in their size and what is great about them is that they do not slip off the neck. This is a great feature for a puppy who is not yet used to walking on a leash. The puppies get used to them quickly and they appear comfortable. Just the right thickness and look great. The are also super easy to get on and off with the buckle clasp.

Way too big
I’m taking two stars off for the poor fit. I measured according to the chart and the collar is so big that if my dog lowers her head it will just fall off. I agonized over buying this size or a smaller size since reviews said it runs large. I decided to believe the manufacturer who should know their product best and it was a mistake. I’m going to keep this collar because it’s a pretty color and hopefully my 6-month-old pup will grow into it. I think the problem with these collars is that that the loop that the leash attaches to is too big and it adds so much length to the collar that it is almost impossible for it to fit correctly. I will not buy another PetSafe martingale collar in the future.
