Comfortable and safe
My cat wore this suit for the full 10 days after spaying. It was minor struggle to get it on her, but once it was on, she seemed comfortable it. The fabric is a soft cotton blend, light and breathable. She was able to use the litter box with no trouble. She was also able too move around easily, and even play and run around for the last 2 days of recovery. The suit was snug enough that it didn’t get caught on anything, and the Velcro stayed in place whole time. She’s a longishhair and some fur got a tiny bit matted under the suit. A little tuft was stuck to the suit when I took it off. I recommend having some blunt scissors ready to use, just in case.Because the Velcro fastens in the back, it was a little difficult to check her incision. But I was able to check it.A couple of pro tips: 1)Tie a knot in the drawstring once you’ve adjusted it. My knot didn’t come undone the whole ten days. Less worry about the suit catching on things. 2) The Velcro fastens in the back! At first I fastened it in the front, until I noticed she was walking funny.Over all, a good product that made recovery easier for both of us. The matting was *very* minor, and much easier to handle than a ruptured incision. Highly recommend!

Great Recovery Suit ā Size Up for Best Fit!
This recovery suit worked wonderfully for my kitten after her spay surgery! It stayed in place, kept her from bothering her incision, and made her recovery so much smoother. One sizing tip ā I initially ordered a small but ended up exchanging for a medium, which fit her perfectly at 6 lbs. So Iād recommend sizing up if youāre on the fence. Overall a great product that does exactly what itās supposed to do. Looks cute too! Highly recommend for any cat parent navigating post-surgery recovery!

Adorable and perfectly protected her
Very well made, adorable too. It has little snaps along the top to hold it in place. Itās pretty easy to put on and take off. The colar is adjustable with a sliding pull. We had no problems with urine or poop getting on it when she needed the bathroom. It covered her stitches well without rubbing on them and she was cozy warm in them. Iām considering buying another one because she actually likes wearing it!

USED -UPDATE
a very used product was delivered: holes in the previously washed tag, stitching coming undone, small and large holes all over productUPDATE:Returned product for same item. Received a NEW item this time. Gave only four stars as the grey color is a thin material compared to the light blue I also ordered. Overall, they seem well made and do the job intended – keeping cat from licking.

Huge Life Saver for Stressed Kittens after Surgery
Love these recovery onesies!!! I got size medium for my 4 month old kittens by following the length of their back according to the size guide, and they fit perfectly. The material is soft, and the drawstring around the neck works well to tighten the suit so the babies canāt wiggle their way out. Velcro is also nice and allowed me to quickly put them on the kittens with minimal effort (although they donāt really like the sound of the Velcro when undoing it).My vet told us she didnāt recommend the recovery suits over cones for the kittens after being spayed, but my kittens were not fond on the cones, and were able to escape them no matter how hard we tried to keep them on. With these suits, they can eat and go to the bathroom normally, which was super difficult with the cones on. They also donāt really even try to lick their surgery wounds with the onesie on, so we had no problem with them healing. Honestly, they really donāt seem to even notice the onesies or care that they have them on. They didnāt seem like they caused any discomfort or stress, which again, the cone did.I will say to buy multiple onesies per cat because although they can technically go to the bathroom normally with the onesie on, they may get some urine on it, and you might need to change them when they soil their onesie, so having multiple handy was a life saver.

E-Collar Alternative? Yes, but…
This is a good E-collar alternative, but depending on your pets preference it may or not make them more comfy. Ā While it worked for its main purpose of keeping my female kitty off her stitches after her spay, she was no happier than she was with the e-collar. Ā It just made her much less mobile, and more grouchy toward me. Ā With the -collar the vet gave us, she would walk around and ‘try’ to live normally, bumping into things and not being able to get in her favorite nooks and crannys of the house, and was in relatively good spirit. I grabbed one of these thinking she would prefer it, but the moment I put it on she just got depressed and would barely move, sitting in the loaf position staring at the wall just about 24/7. Ā She is a 6lb average dimensioned/pre portioned kitten, and the small size fit her perfectly, but these need to be form fitting (Like hers was) to ensure they cant get under the cloth to nibble on the stitches and with my cat at least this very minor constriction really bothered her. Ā She would pretend she couldnt walk, rolling over when put down (and so on), even though she “could” move. Ā I know this because a few hours after putting it on her, I had company over to the house, who was a stranger to her and when they walked in the one and only time she moved while wearing the vest occurred, as she dashed across the house to hide, with her normal speed and dexterity… Ā Soon as the company left she was back to acting like she could barely walk, being a loaf of bread. The material is pretty thin, but for $10 it was about the quality you would expect. Ā Right out of package a few stitches were already fraying, but nothing that would make it fall apart for the time it was needed. Ā Definitely not a good option if you want it for multiple cats over time/plan to wash it and re-use more than once or twice. For the price its good to get to at least try, as your pet may not be as grouchy as mine and for $10 is was well worth the try, as it was no big loss when I ended up going back to the cone the next day.

Great product
Great product, light weight, good fit, washes well and she’s very comfortable in it.

Our ultra-neurotic male cat needed extensive stomach surgery, so having a full body outfit like this was an absolute lifesaver when faced with the threat of an Elizabethan cone. This particular design has a long strip of velcro for closure, which is highly effective at keeping the suit on but was extremely loud to undo, freaking out our cat whenever we had to take it off. For our cat, I lined the inside of the suit with bandages and medical tape to soak up any oozing/blood, and because of the nature of his situation, this outfit needed to be [hand] laundered pretty much every other day (as we interchanged with another outfit).Inevitable laundering of this particular suit stretched it out quite dramatically, especially when compared to the other outfit we had. I think this outfit has too high of a % of spandex that eventually just would not retain its shape. As such, the outfit became dangerously easy for our cat to try to weasel out of, and he was eventually able to trap himself halfway out of the outfit’s head hole while we were asleep overnight. It was awful. The neck hole is the ultimate weakest link in this outfit, as it becomes very quickly overstretched with how much you will need to take the outfit on/off. Additionally, the little plastic adjustable ‘lock’ on the rope within the neck is supposed to keep the neck nice and snug doesn’t stay in place and will gradually slide back. Our cat is quite a large breed with probably a larger head, so I don’t think the ‘lock’ stood a chance against his broad shoulders and back.Ultimately, the outfit was great to begin with. It’s very soft – we called it his pajamas – and easy to launder. I would say if you have a selection of outfits you’re rotating between, then this will probably last much longer – but I would still ditch it as soon as it starts to get a bit too stretchy, just for safety’s sake!
