Our two cats LOVE this food. I notice they throw up a lot less since eating this brand of cat food, too. It is healthy and was highly recommended by our veterinarian. The price is great, as compared to other dry cat foods of high quality. The cats also eat less than they used to with the less healthier brands of cat food. We are very happy with this product.

great quality cat food
I have a cat with an extremely sensitive stomach and this is the only food that she not only loves but she does extremely well with! Without this food we would have had to put her on very expensive prescription food. My cat is a rescue and one of her k9 teeth (the big teeth on cats that look like vampire teeth) on the bottom of her jaw sticks out making it very difficult to eat food, but she is able to easily pick up this food and chew it! Highly recommend this food to anyone

Great Quality and Worth Every Penny!
My cats are big fans of the cat food.It doesn’t have a very strong smell to it. I really appreciate that it has great ingredients and that both my senior cats love it.It stores well, last a long time and works with their sensitive stomachs.Overall I am very happy with the quality of the product and it’s worth every penny. My two VERY particular old lady kitties and my daughter’s three darling kitties, my grandkitties, absolutely LOVE this Purina Pro Plan Salmon and Rice kibble. All 5 of them have excellent check ups by their veterinarians, and they are all in great health…no vaxxs allowed!! I wish it wasn’t so expensive, but I’ll do without some extras so I can buy it for my little loves. Try it!! Your kitties will ADORE you for it!!

My cats’ favorite kibble. I alternate between the chicken & salmon flavors so they don’t get bored. I feel like it’s a good choice for a slightly better, but not expensive, high-end food. They are seniors, so the majority of their food is wet, so I don’t have to order this often.

GREAT results for Purina Pro Plan Dry Adult Cat Food
My cat, Callie, is a Calico cat… who is now 7 yrs old. I got her when she was 5 from the local Humane Society. Her previous owners moved to Australia and had to give up all their pets to do so… I was told that she ate only Pruina Cat-Chicken and Rice – Cat Food. So I got that for her and when I would try to add any other small amounts of Purina Chicken & Rice type of cat food to her dish… she would throw up. So I gave up trying to get her on a better grade of Purina cat food. Until I got this pro plan… Purina Pro Plan Dry Adult Cat Food, Chicken and Rice Formula in the 7-Pound Bag. I know that when you change a cat’s food you do so in very small amounts over a long period of time and slowly add more of the new food as the cat tolerates it… Well, finally, Callie started to tolerate this cat food… in just VERY small amounts, mixed in with her usual, less expensive and less health inclusive Purina Cat Food…and LOW AND BEHOLD… she has been eating it WITHOUT THROWING UP! 🙂 That was 5 weeks ago… and I am slowly adding a ratio of 2:10 amounts now… I started out with 1:10 ratio… I mix it together in a large sized “Lock & Lock” container and keep it in my pantry. Callie is eating it and I am happy. The pieces of this cat food are smaller than the other Purina that I am feeding her… and she is able to chew it better without having small chunks falling all over… there are still some small chunks that fall out of her mouth, but only a few now. Less gets into her water dish too… I am VERY HAPPY with this Purina Dry Cat Food… and I will be very pleased when she is on it 100%… She is NOT a big eater… she eats only about 12 to 14 bites at a time, but she eats every 3 hours. This is a personal addition… not connected to this product… My cat will NOT eat unless I am standing in the kitchen watching her eat. But she does let me sleep thru the night, but once I am awake… she meows until I get up and walk into the kitchen to watch her eat. WHen I am on the computer… she will stand in the doorway and MEOW till I get up and go into the kitchen to watch her eat. I don’t know what her previous owners did to train her for this… but each time she wants to eat… she will NAG with her MEOWS… 🙂 I never had a cat that did that before. She is a sweet, dear loving cat, so I guess it is not much to do for her in exchange for her loyal love.

My cat was diagnosed recently with diabetes, detected accidentally in a routine pre-dental-cleaning blood scan. It’s at a very early stage and his vet hopes prompt insulin and a high-protein diet will bring it into remission. This particular dry food was recommended, since he won’t touch wet food unless it has croutons sprinkled on top, i.e., some dry crunchies. He’s a picky eater. It doesn’t matter what the label shows or the ads say or his vet recommends. If he doesn’t like a food, he won’t eat it. This, he sniffed at it the first time I added a few pieces, teased out one piece onto the floor as a sample — and then dived facefirst into his dish, gobbling it down as if he was in an All-You-Can-Eat-In-Two-Minutes contest. And begged for more. And danced around on his fuzzy tippytoes demanding still more. The real test came when I served it again the next day. All too often, yesterday’s big favourite gets “Blecchh! Why are you serving me garbage?!” the next time. But he continues to wolf this down and by now we’re almost at the bottom of the bag. That’s all I need to know about a food for cats. I’ll be buying more.
