Tell pesky parasites to ‘bug off’ with the Hartz UltraGuard Flea & Tick Collar for Cats and Kittens. This fresh scented, white collar kills and repels fleas and ticks for 7 months. The water resistant design remains effective even after getting caught in the rain. Also features a breakaway safety release. For continuous flea and tick protection from head to tail, replace the collar every 7 months. Directions: Remove collar from package, unroll and stretch to activate insecticide generator. Do not use on kittens under 12 weeks of age. Do not unroll collar until ready to use. Place the collar around the cat’s neck, adjust for proper fit and buckle in place. The collar must be worn loosely to allow for growth of the cat and to permit the collar to move about the neck. Generally, a properly fitted collar is one that, when fastened, will snugly slide over the cat’s head. Leave 2 or 3 inches on the collar for extra adjustment and cut off and dispose of the extra length. Consult a veterinarian before using this product on debilitated, aged or medicated pets. Sensitivity may occur after using any pesticide product for pets. Some animals may become irritated by the collar if it is applied too tightly. If this occurs, loosen the collar. If irritation continues, remove the collar and bathe your cat with mild soap and rinse with large amount of water. If signs continue, consult a veterinarian immediately. Do not use this product on cats simultaneously or within 30 days before or after treatment of other flea and tick products. However, flea and tick collars may be replaced immediately.

Fit perfect
Bought two of these cause I have two cats put this on after giving them. Their flea baths fit great a little too long for cats, but doesn’t hurt nothing just adjust it to the size you need. I just tucked the extra in under the collar, great value for the money they don’t bother it Purple looks good on them. The collar came in purple so I like that good product quality so far I will leave an update in a couple months to let you know if it works.

Nice low cost collar, although not as effective as drops
This collar is soft and supple, and has a nice mild fragrance. The breakaway feature works, as my outdoor cat has lost one on a tree branch. The price is a real bargain at about 50 cents a month. The collar works, as I find dead fleas when I comb, but there are still live fleas present. Some types of flea drops work better than the collar, but they are very expensive. I leave the collar on full time, and occasionally use flea drops in the summer when fleas are at their worst.

Waste of money ,doesn’t work !!!
Don’t waste your money it’s going to cost you way more in the long run, I was tight on money and I needed to make sure my cat was protected from fleas & ticks so I bought the collar until I got the money to get her Frontline plus.Within 2 weeks of her wearing the collar she got infested with fleas, she was scratching and biting herself I felt so bad that I couldn’t afford the Frontline plus .I used flea combs to get most of the fleas off of her, every day I combed her until I got the money to order the Frontline plus for her.The day it arrived I called her ,she came running inside I put the Frontline plus on her and within a couple of days the fleas were gone. Now when I have extra money I buy the Frontline plus just to have the extras in case I run into financial issues again at least my cat will be protected.If you love your pet don’t waste your money on this collar.

An Alright Collar for a Good Price
Works great in-between treatments. Had these on hand just in case and thank God I did. I usually use Advantage flea treatment but my babes got fleas just days after the product was wore off. Works in about 12 hours and the fleas fell off my babes face. But the SMELL, fresh scent!? Its strong and horrible I cannot stand it and if I react like this to it, my cats must not like it either. I’d rather no scent at all its soooo gross.BE CAREFUL WITH FLEA TREATMENTS THEY CAN HARM YOUR BABIES AND FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY AND MONITOR THEM CLOSELY FOR THE FIRST FEW DAYS OF A NEW TREATMENT AND NEVER DOUBLE UP.

This item works great I have one old black tom cat that still insists on roaming and I would have to check him all the time for ticks one time he had one hanging on him 1/4 in long that’s when I decided to do something after these collars no more ticks I always have tw0 on hand because they are the break away collars in case he gets stuck but they work great he comes in Evey night for his brushing and a clean check up

It does not instantly stop ticks
It works. The cat can work their way out of it if not adjusted properly

Ensure you clean your cat of all fleas before you put the collar on. If the cat is heavy flea infested already its not expected to be as effective. The only issue I feel is a strong fragrance which is good for me but I am not sure how the cat is dealing with it.

It poisoned my cat but not the mites, the cat became drowsy and melancholic after 7 days of wearing it
