This blanket is amazing. I have not tried out the waterproof part yet. I bought it for my dog so he could enjoy my new chair. Its definitely cozy enough for a human to use. Its hard to tell its waterproof. I will order another one only bigger. Its yorkie approved!

Impressive throw blanket that can easily be used as a pet blanket (or grandkid blanket that spills)
I received this blanket so I could give it my honest review. My initial thoughts are– For a blanket that is 50”x60” it comes in a VERY small box– It opens into a nice size blanket that is very soft– The back of the blanket is not the same material as the front (rougher back that front) and is only attached around the edges– Because of the way the two pieces of material are attached, it feels a little strange and I’m wondering how well it does in a washing machine– Very soft and nice feeling top/front of the blanket– No odd smell (which seems to happen sometimes with fabric items)When I opened the Amazon box, I expected it to be filled with this blanket, but inside the Amazon box was a very small box (probably 5”x6”x10”) so I was wondering what I really got. Once I opened the box, I saw that it was wrapped in a tight plastic roll, allowing it to be packaged really small. Small boxes are nice, especially considering how many things I order! Though the Amazon box was probably big enough to have held at least two of these blanket boxes, maybe three of them. When the blanket was removed from the tight roll, it really was a nice sized throw/dog blanket.The color of this blanket (I chose the green one, actually more teal and it matches the color very closely as displayed) goes nicely with our couches, which are a similar color. Even though this is advertised as a “waterproof dog blanket” I bought it for a throw blanket as my wife and I (as well as our grandchildren) like to use them in our living room. It feels very soft and comfortable when covering up with the blanket.The backside of the blanket is not as fluffy and soft as the front side, but it still feels soft. It’s more like a bath towel feeling, while the topside is incredibly soft and nice against the skin. You can pinch the frontside and back side and pull them in opposite directions, which feels/looks strange on a blanket. I’m used to material that is either one piece or has been sewn together to feel like one piece of material. I put this in the washer right away, partly because my mother taught me to wash new clothes/items right away, but also because I am curious how it will look/feel once it comes out. It does have washing instructions different from our other throw blankets, this is supposed to be cold and washed on the delicate setting, so we will see how it does following those instructions (though we may wash “normally” in the future). The blanket came through the wash just fine.I noticed, as I removed it from the dryer and shook it out, that there is a definite sound from the different materials sliding around in the blanket (front & back material). That reminded me that it is also “waterproof” so I laid it out on the floor and noticed something funny. We had a ceiling fan going and by spreading it out on the floor, under the fan, and letting it come to rest on the floor, air was trapped under the blanket for a good 30 seconds, making it look like something was moving around under the blanket. I then poured a cup of water on the top of the blanket and let it sit there for a while. Once I picked the blanket up, the tile floor underneath the blanket was still dry and I could feel no water on the bottom side of the blanket. I then put it over my legs to see if I could feel it as I used it as a throw blanket and it’s still warm and dry. I decided not to dry the water on top, to see how long it would take to dry. By the time I went to bed, 4 hours later, the blanket was mostly dry and by the next morning was totally dry.The biggest issue I’ve had with this blanket is the delivery of the blanket to my house. The delivery date was changed multiple times, initially (if I remember correctly) it was to be delivered 4-5 days after I ordered it, but it finally got to me almost two weeks after I ordered it, after the date had changed a couple more times.I can see where this can be a good pet blanket, especially a young one that may still have potty issues, since it’s waterproof. I look forward to seeing how my grand-dog treats it when she comes over as she does shed a good bit. It would be nice if she used it on the couch.Other than the disturbing (to me) sound and feel of the different materials moving in the blanket, it makes a good/comfortable throw blanket that is very warm. It might be good for taking on a camping trip or picnic where the ground or seating may be wet as this could be a comfortable blanket to sit on instead of a wet seat.I would give this a 4/5, because of the delivery issues (which I know might have just been this one) and because of the material that makes it waterproof, not being fixed within the blanket (again, that’s probably just me).

This is such a nice blanket! It’s so nice I’m surprised it’s for pets. My poodle has loved laying on it. The fabric is so soft and cozy, I put it on my couch and everyone in the house is loving it. The large size covers most of my couch and I love knowing that it’s a waterproof blanket that protects my furniture. We’ve brought it in the motorhome several times camping this summer and it works great to protect my couch from my dogs getting it sandy and dirty from the beach. It’s easy to wash and dry and has come out looking new after several washes. I would definitely recommend this if you’re looking for a excellent quality blanket for your pets to lay on your furniture. It’s really so soft and cozy that your pet will love it and never want to lay on anything else!
