Customers say

Customers find this training tool to be of high quality and effective, particularly for training small dogs and cats. The clicker receives mixed feedback – while some praise its nice satisfying sound, others find it difficult to operate. Moreover, the product’s durability is concerning, with multiple reports of the telescoping pointer falling apart and the clicker breaking within 20 days. Additionally, opinions on value for money are divided, with some considering it well worth the price while others find it not worth the cost.

    Perfect for my cats
Nice satisfying click that is definitely not too loud for cats. My boys are 6.5 months old and the first thing I’m teaching them is to boop the end of the stick with their nose with the command “Boop!” They picked up the Boop very quickly (by day 2) and I’m so excited to teach them more commands based on the Boop with this clicker.

Using it with my cats – works well, not too loud, wish it came in a small size
The pandemic has been a time of change for us all. My big entertainment has been figuring out if my cats are trainable. Spoiler alert: They are. This clicker was recommended as a good one for cats, it’s not as loud as some, very sturdy (our cats have already tried to gnaw on it because when the clicker comes out, so do the treats, ergo the clicker must be full of treats). I love that it’s extendible. Our cats actually pay more attention to the little ball at the end of the extended stick than to my hand gestures. Given the number of times I’ve shaken my finger at them, no wonder. Anyway, the only thing I wish is that this was smaller. It’s so large it sticks out of my hand, and I’d rather the cats not focus on it as a visual, that they listen to the click and watch my other hand. Nothing I didn’t know before I bought it – not a reason for docking it a star, it’s user incompetence and small hands, not the clicker’s fault – but Karen Pryor, if you’re reading this, I’d love to buy a more compact version. For anyone wondering: Yes, the cats are trainable. They know high five, over, up, sit, here, and circle. However, being cats, or maybe being our spoiled cats, they will only do these actions when it suits them, and when heavily fortified by treats.

    Delightful
This is the second time I have purchased this product. The first time was two years ago, and I cannot begin to describe the joy this has brought to our family. We use it just for fun, having our dogs jump high and “touch” for a click reward and a treat. The dogs love it and come running whenever we pull it out. One of our dogs (a rescue) was wild and crazy when we first got her, full of pent-up energy. This has been a simple, delightful way to give her attention and get out some of her excess energy. She needs predictability to feel secure, and playing “touch” has become one of her favorite routines. If a dog can look happy, she certainly does. Our two boys have done most of the training with this, and it’s so rewarding and easy that they love doing it.Our first of these target sticks eventually broke after two years of hard use (the telescoping metal broke off at one of the joints), but we easily got more than out money’s worth out of it and I had no problem spending the money on a replacement.

Great idea, wish the ball was bigger.
We are working with a dog trainer using target training building up to the “go say hi” command. We ordered this target stick due to the handle with the clicker built in. It is one less thing to juggle when working on training and I love that. I did think that the ball was larger when I ordered it. It is not much larger than a marble and I am looking for a foam ball to put over the top of it. It would be the perfect training aid if it was just a little bit larger or offered interchangeable balls. Overall a great, well made product with room for a little improvement.

    Works For Cat Training
Using this stick to train a cat. The cat is responding positively to the clicker and is doing well in training. It is not too loud. The stick gets pulled out and extended for use. When you are done you can make the stick contract and put it in your pocket. It’s holding up very well. We haven’t had any issues. Plus, I think the colors are pretty. A great training tool.

    Great for target training horses
Has done great so far in working with my horse. Although he has been a little enthusiastic and bent the pole, but I will buy this again and again. This positive reinforcement tool has taken us so far in a short time.

    Great investment for bird owners
It’s great way to give my birds treats and to know what kind of mood they’re in for the day as well.

    The Clicker Does Not Function!
The clicker part of this product does not work at all. It arrived defective. And the kicker is, it is in a package with a “try me” window that allows one to try the clicker without opening the package. So the seller could have discovered that it doesn’t even work before they shipped it, and could have just grabbed a different one that actually functions. The other kicker is, I read a bunch of reviews before I bought it, and noted that many people had problems with the clicker being too soft, or not working. However, the overall rating for this item was so strong, that I decided to take a chance. Not smart. Apparently either the manufacturing or design is inconsistent, and the seller does not bother to check product functionality prior to sending it off to you. BOO!Edited to add: I removed the screws from the handle and took the product apart, then put it back together. Somehow that did the trick and the clicker now works. However, the button has to be pressed at just the right angle and with just the right amount of force for it to immediately click. I definitely would not re-purchase this item and advise consumers to beware.

Ich habe schon einige Clicker gehabt, doch dieser ist in der Handhabung, Qualität und was auch für mich wichtig ist, von der Tonalität des “Clicks” der Beste. Es ist ein warmer Ton, der nicht schrill und kühl ist.
