Perfect for storing 13 lbs of cat food
I bought the 13 lb size as we needed a container with the capacity to hold 13 lbs of cat food. I like the frosted look of this black one so that it keeps the sunlight out, thinking it keeps the food even more fresh. We use a measuring cup silicone scoop but any type of scoop or bowl would work to get the food out in smaller increments. Or you can pour it right out of the container.Size of the 13 lb container (photos show some of the measurements):13.75” long lid14” tall10” deep4.5” wide1. It’s easy to open2. The seal works perfectly, keeping the food fresh3. It’s easy to fill as the opening is large4. The quality is good, it’s not flimsy5. Great container but only holds 10 pounds
The container looks nice and is functional. It comes with a scoop that you can measure out the amount you need. I like that it’s narrow so it can fit into a small space. But I don’t believe it can hold 13 pounds. This photo shows 10 pounds and it’s Chihuahua food so the pieces are small.

My favorite pet food storage containers!
I have always used IRIS brand storage containers and have been very pleased with them in the past. I think the oldest one still around is from at least 12 years ago and still going strong! So when my new cat was wily enough to figure out how to open his old food container (I was using a Buddeez 6 quart dispenser for his food since it fit the entire 7 lb bag inside), I went straight to Amazon to find my trusty IRIS brand containers like I use for our dogs! And, as usual, they do not disappoint!AIRTIGHT LATCHI know some have complained about the seal of the lids on these containers. I have some of the containers labeled premium and some of the regular ones and there is a difference in the thickness of the plastic on the lid and the tightness of the latch. I do not have any problems with ants so I can’t speak to that issue which is one I’ve seen mentioned in reviews, but I found the premium ones have very sturdy and tight lids and the crafty feline is unable to open them so I no longer go out to feed him in the morning or evening and find his food container lid already wide open!CAPACITYAfter debating between the less expensive 28 quart and the more expensive and smaller 15 quart, I decided it just didn’t make sense space-wise to get the larger container since the largest bag of his food is only about 15 lbs and it would be wasted space! So I elected to go with the smaller container then started researching the colors and options for the best price. And even though the capacity listed is 12 pounds, since this is cat food and in small pieces, I can fit an entire 15 lb bag in there which saves on the food bill.AMAZON WAREHOUSE DEALSSo I’m going to take a moment to tout the Amazon Warehouse Deals if you happen to catch one! I have used this method in the past and I am again very pleased with my choice! I noticed there were some like new used containers in the smaller 15 quart size that I wanted so I was able to get what I needed but for half the price of the new one! Because it was Amazon, I felt confident I would be able to return it if there were any problems so I thought – why not? They are a very reliable source if you happen to come across an item available from them – especially if it says like new. They really do inspect them and I have never received a broken item or one not as described. My container even came with a sticker indicating it was inspected by Amazon Warehouse Deals.Overall, this was a great deal and the cat food is now safely sealed away until divided out for his meals. Very pleased with my purchase and a big thank you to Amazon Warehouse Deals!

Good enough for the price. Does not hold 13lbs of even small kibble
Pros: I’m satisfied (and that says ALOT! Lol). Bought it to hold a13lb bag of cat food. It was cheaper than anything else that claimed holds 13lbs (or less). Small enogh to be stored without taking up too much space. I bought the solid grey. It was cheaper.Undecided on the seal. It’s made of foam so although it has some seal to it, unsure how long that will last or how fresh its keeping the cat food. So not as good as an airtight Tupperware, but not as bad as a cheap container that has no seal at all. Also, make sure you don’t close the lid on the kibble where it seals. It will put a dent or hole in the foam seal.Cons: Does not fit 13lbs of food. as advertised. I’m sure they did this on purpose to sell it lol (I did buy one lol). If you have a 13lb bag of even small kibble, you’ll have to store some of it in another container. I filled it almost until it didn’t close and it didn’t hold all 13lbs.Overall it’s prob the best option at this price range.

Clean and fresh dog and cat food
Worked very good for dog and cat food. Keeps it fresh and clean looking. Instead of having bags around. Also easier to get ready for feeding . Of course I bought 2. One for each pet

Would not recommend. Listed as 13# capacity, might hold 10#’s if you’re lucky. Top is cheap, hinges don’t stay attached. Includes a scoop that’s too big for the canister.

Resguarda bien del polvo y la humedad las croquetas, es como para unos 5 o 6 kg, no más! Y ningún insecto se puede meter, lo comento porque por donde vivo hay muchas hormigas y las croquetas se encuentran bien resguardadas
