**Seresto Small Dog is water resistant and remains effective following a shampoo treatment, swimming or after exposure to rain or sunlight. Under normal conditions, effectiveness lasts for 8 months. In order to maintain an eight-month duration, dogs must not be bathed more than once per month. For dogs that swim once a month or more, the control duration is reduced to 5 months for flea control and reduced to 7 months for tick control.

Long-Lasting Protection for My Small Dog!
This Seresto collar is amazing! Itās easy to put on, adjustable, and provides up to 8 months of continuous flea and tick protection. My small dog (under 18 lbs) wears it comfortably, and I love that it doesnāt have a strong chemical smell.Iāve noticed a significant reduction in fleas and ticks since using it, and it gives me peace of mind knowing my dog is protected year-round. Highly recommend for small dogs and busy pet owners looking for effective, long-lasting prevention!

Excellent product; very effective.
The greatest and easiest way to keep the little critters from biting MY little critters. These are a wonderful invention. No more of that awful disgusting liquid on their necks that you inevitably soon after run your hand through when petting. That is so frustrating. I swear I forget immediately after putting it on them; definitely the dementia thing! LOL. Getting that smeared over your hand is a drag though. This Seresto is NOT. This is lovely stuff and works for about 9 months! Only drawback is the cost, but what isnāt expensive these days? Overall definitely worth it. No smell, no oily stuff to smear over things, no having to remember to give them something every month. Very effective. No side effects Iāve ever seen. I will happily keep paying for and using it on my dogs!

The only flea collar I’ve ever used, no harsh chemicals on dogs skin and they work great.no skin irritation, they dont scratch, very durable, and the excess i cut off i place in their doggie bed or in the vacuum canister

Worked on 7lb Papillon when Advantix drops did nothing
I have always used K9 Advantix on my dogs, and never had problems until the year I started camping in Northern Wisconsin. Now, let me just say — the K9 Advantix worked PERFECTLY on my large-breed dogs – never a single flea or tick. Knowing that we were heading into a tick-infested area, I put the Advantix drops on my 80 lb german shepherd and my 7 lb papillon a week before camping.After a walk in the woods, I found one tick clinging to the outside hair of my german shepherd, not attached — easy to just flick right off before we went in the house. We didn’t find any ticks on the papillon until we went home. First found one tick within 24 hours, had to remove it with tweezers but figured, hey, maybe it hadn’t attached long enough to get killed by the Advantix.Then found another after 24 hours. And another after 48 hours (by that time it was engorged). Clearly the Advantix was not working on my papillon, though it seemed to be working on my large breed dog. Perhaps the drops, being such a low quantity due to his size, didn’t absorb properly. But I wasn’t about to joke around with ticks and lyme disease, so I started looking for alternative options.The day before I ordered the Seresto collar, my dog picked up a tick in my own backyard, in the city of Milwaukee, with mowed grass and everything. That was it – I was going to risk my fear of collar side-effects, watch my dog carefully, and get this collar.Fast forward 10 days after wearing the Seresto collar. No side effects (I checked FREQUENTLY for signs of rashes/redness/lethargy/hair loss), and we found a dead tick (not yet engorged) dead in the house.I’m convinced it was the Seresto collar, given that the small dog is the one who already picked up 4 ticks, while the larger dog barely picked up one. The large dog is still using up what’s remaining of my K9 Advantix, but I’m likely to switch her to the Seresto collar next year. The convenience of having one collar for the whole non-winter season, the fact that it seems to WORK on my small-breed dog, and the cost per month for the collar vs the drops has sold me.I think the drops work fine for large breed dogs, but can fail due to miniscule dosage amounts on smaller breeds. The collar is safer for my dog when it comes to lyme disease, compared to the risk of side effects (which you should be on the lookout for with both drops and/or collar during the first few days of application — anyone can have a reaction to medicine if they’re allergic). Seresto has sold me on their collar — now all we have to do is repeat the camping experience and see how long the collar lasts.Happy camping!

The only thing that worked.
I believe it was in 2016 that we were having super flea problems! We were trying everything from spraying the yard to drops, pills and baths. The vet said that everyone was having issues. It was sad seeing fleas on our little dog!Iām not sure if we just gambled on these collars or the vet recommended them but oh man what a miracle! All bugs were gone.ProsTakes care of your normal day to day fleas and ticks.We buy one collar a year and lasts until we need a new one. We live in northern Indiana so you have to take that into account. Package says 8 months.ConsItās a little pricey but also itās one and done each year.When we go hiking in the woods we have to get ticks out of their hair when we are done. Thatās the only reason it lost a star.ConclusionBuy it use it and then donāt worry about it until next year.Just double check your dog to make sure they donāt have an allergic reaction.You can see the grey collar in the second photo.
