Best litter box so far.
Backstory: 4 decades of owning cats has led to many, many searches for the best litter boxes. Before this one, I had 3 pans out: a small basic pan for a kitten, a sifting one that used pine pellets, and a very large box with 3 high sides. Unfortunately, I have a digger, and all my cats seem to like to fly out of the pans at full velocity. I seriously think they have a secret contest to see who can scatter the litter the furthest and with pans being near my shower, litter was always in the shower, on the floor, even outside the room. The boyfriend was out of patience and I went searching for low scatter litter boxes. I found this one. It seemed like the right fit but wasn’t sure I wanted to spend $70 on yet another type of litter box but I kept going back to it.Finally, one color was reduced to $45 and I finally gave in.REVIEW: I’ve only been using it a few weeks. It is already worth it just from less b!@#$ ING from my boyfriend about litter on the floor and in the shower. Don’t get me wrong, there is still small amounts of litter on my floor but those steps combined with an extra large mat SIGNIFICANTLY reduce the litter tracked out and reduces how far it flies because they can’t just take a flying leap.I’m not crazy about the shape. The outside looks so weird but that is not a concern to me. I don’t, however, like the kidney shape inside. I think the thought process was no square corners, no stuck poop in the corners but I assure you my cats find a way to get to narrowed edges and with rectangular scoops, it’s a bit of an awkward angle to scoop. This is well worth the tradeoff of not having litter in my shower every single day.As you’ll read in other reviews, yes it has a large footprint but my previous litter box was oversized too. Yes, it does well containing litter scatter. The lid doesn’t snap or lock into place (which could be a potential problem if you have a large dog who is determined to get a snack — though the design should keep them from casually walking by and grabbing a bite) but for me the lid not having to be locked down just makes it easier for me to remove for cleaning.Summary/TLDR: If you’re looking for a litter box to reduce scatter, this is the best I’ve found so far.

Big but nice!
I had a covered litter box that I used for years until they stopped making it. I’ve been searching for many years to find something equally good, and this box is it!The Pros:1. Cat’s can’t get around using the stairs; it’s the only way in/out.2. The stair’s surface helps to remove the litter from the paws. (I’ve had to rely on litter mats for years, but with this one I don’t need it. I still use one from the former litter box, but it’s mainly to help protect my carpet when cleaning the box.)3. Next to the stairs is a groove for you to sweep the leftover litter. (Comes in handy, because if the stairs get full of litter, then the litter will be tracked onto the floor.)3. The dome is private; perfect for those finicky cats!Cons:1. The interior compartment for the filter will not stay closed. Either tape it shut or don’t use it. Very bad design flaw!2. The lid can be difficult to put in place. There are grooves you have to line up, and depending on the area where the box is located it can be very frustrating.3. Because of the dome, it doesn’t fit as perfectly into corners (dome’s are round) so it will take up a bit more room. (It was cheaper to buy online, but I did go to a couple of pet stores and look at the size before purchasing, and the dimensions are well documented on the amazon page.)I read another review about the importance of keeping the stairs clean, and I see what she meant. I clean the litter daily, so it’s not a problem. But if I happen to walk by and see a lot of litter on the stairs, I do use a small dustpan/broom to move it to the groove, and then I clean the groove when I do the daily cleaning. As mentioned above, if the stairs get full then the litter will track onto the floor.With all that said, it is a very good litter box. I have an 9 yr tabby & 2 yr siamese-type (was a stray), and both love their boxes. When I took in the stray, my vet told me how important it was for each cat to have their own litter box. So I bought another Booda, and to my surprise, they use each other’s boxes. In fact, I think they have designated one as the “poo” box and the other as the “pee” box. I have weird cats..

The Booda litter dome is superior to any other litter box – the charcoal filter on the top keeps in odours so it doesn’t stink & the ramp is bumpy providing easy access for cats with arthritis in their legs and the bumps remove any litter from their paws making almost zero mess! Make sure to buy litter bags in JUMBO size & they fit perfectly & easy clean up & replacement of new litter!

Came next day even through I chose the free delivery option. Came in very large box and packed very well. Very happy with the litter tray brilliant size and design! Only thing I would say is the top doesn’t fit on the the bottom very well.

Leider haben unsere Katzen die Toilette nicht angenommen ……konnte sie leider bei Ihnen nicht zurückgeben, trotz sagrotan reinigung…schade.der Kohlefilter würde als 1. zerfetzt da kein Schutz für den Kohlefilter vorhanden war. ☹️
