Customers find the crate has a great look and is easy to transport for travel. However, the sturdiness and ease of assembly receive mixed feedback – while some find it sturdy and easy to put together, others report issues with flimsy plastic hooks and unclear instructions. Moreover, the latching mechanism is particularly problematic, with customers describing it as a nightmare to operate. Additionally, customers find the crate heavy and report durability issues, with pieces breaking off before use.

Perfect Crate for My Pup!
I recently purchased this steel dog crate and couldn’t be happier with my decision. Assembly was a breeze; I had it set up in just a few minutes without any tools. The instructions were clear and straightforward, making the process incredibly simple. One of the standout features is how compact it becomes when not in use. I live in a small apartment, so space is at a premium. This crate folds down neatly and stores easily in a closet or under a bed, which is a huge plus for me. Despite its compact storage capabilities, it is very sturdy and feels secure when assembled. My dog took to it immediately and seems very comfortable inside. The design is both functional and stylish, fitting well with my home decor. The quality of the materials used is top-notch, and I have no doubts about its durability over time.Overall, I highly recommend this dog crate to anyone in need of a reliable, easy-to-assemble, and space-saving solution. It’s made both my life and my dog’s life much easier!—This review highlights the key features that potential buyers might be interested in, such as ease of assembly, compact storage, sturdiness, and the overall quality of the product.

Best dog crate ever
When my husband and I decided to get a puppy, we began searching for the best crate. I turned to Pet Gear because I have two of their other products that I love for my adult dog. This crate is amazingly well designed. It has a garage door along one length which tilts up and slides beneath the roof of the crate. Each end has a door and the top has a hatch that opens. I’m surprised some people said it was flimsy. I have found it to be super sturdy. I do need two hand to open and close the locks, but I like that it is so secure that my dog can’t figure out how to open it herself. The top hatch is great when I need to reach into the crate for some reason without letting my puppy out. for instance, I sometimes forget to take her collar off before putting her to bed. I just open the top hatch and remove it without having to worry about my puppy trying to dash out. It has wheels which I find fantastic. So easy to move. There was a lot of thought that went into this design and how it really is to crate a dog. And my puppy is satisfied sleeping in this crate. The roof is solid which I think makes her feel secure. One thing is that the pad that comes with it is a bit thin. I purchased a memory foam pad for dogs to place under it and put a doggie blanket over it. My puppy is growing fast (we expect her to reach 60 pounds), and we are now getting ready to move from the medium sized crate to a large crate. I am definitely going with Pet Gear again. Highly recommend.

Not what I expected
This product was SO CLUNKY. Wow I was so disappointed. I wanted this crate because I am often going from one house to another and wanted soemthing I could easily fold and bring with. It is so awkward and hard to assemble I was shocked! I love the padded handle and wheels, I feel like they were necessary since it was really big, heavy and hard to carry. Overall it just didn’t wow me, especially for 200 dollars. It didn’t seem very sturdy even when it was fully assembled. The latches are also tricky to open, not like your average crate. Super bummed!

Very Very Heavy
Pros: overall sturdy, good size, my puppy really enjoys the bed that comes with it, every side is a door.Cons: very heavy. You might be able to drag this from one room to another room in your house because of the wheels, but you’re not going to be using this as a mobile crate that’s for sure. Did I mention it’s very heavy?-while overall, it’s sturdy, many of the pieces and sides are single mold injection plastic, which is fine, unless a part is broken and then you cannot replace it without replacing really the whole thing. This is exactly what happened with mine. One of the snaps that is made out of plastic came broken which meant that I could not completely lock one of the doors, and there was no solution to fix this besides returning it for a new one. It’s also not that easy to open up the locks for the doors. This could be a potential positive if you don’t want your younger children to be able to open it, but maybe if you’re older and has arthritis, you would have a great difficulty opening the doors. For these reasons, I can’t truly endorse it fully, but if you’re basically just going to have it, sit in one place in your house and eventually think you might want to store it underneath a bed or in some smaller space, then it’s a good, pretty sturdy crate, with a comfortable doggy bed.
The litter box has been great, no issues with it. The scooper is metal, but not sturdy. It bent with the third use. We made the mistake of throwing out our old one. I would suggest buying an additional scoop with it. –
All the animals love it. Even the cats sleep in it.
A little hard to put together, but if you understand the directions it is easy. Easy to remove the tray for cleaning.

Very versatile, useful, sturdy. Easy to put together.
We love the top access door and the “garage door” features, the locks are a little unwieldy but a little bending adjustment works ! Our mini Dachshund loves his crate and goes in by himself for his naps! The rollers makes it easy to move to our exercise room, he loves to be in his crate out of danger while I run on the treadmill….

Nice and sturdy plus it folds down!
I liked the look of this crate and it was perfect for a sleeping crate for the bedroom for my new rescue pup. It came beautifully packed in a nice zippered tote bag that allows you to have easy handles to pull it by when you need the attached wheels to transport it. Even the pan that goes in the bottom is sturdier than other brands I have owned. Great purchase! Excellent quality and so many ways to access it and use it for home or travel.

not the greatest quality but does the job
it’s plastic isn’t the most durable. sometimes the door goes off the tracks. but i will say it’s way easier on the eye than a traditional wire crate you get at same price. if your dog is n escape or have anxiety, i don’t recommend this crate. if they are strong enough they could totally break it/break out. i used 32” to potty train my 28 pound terrier mix and its been great.

A great crate for our dog. It is a bit big for now, but our puppy will be in in soon enough. Great for travel
