Very Nice Carrier. Worked Perfect For Us.
We purchased this carrier for my daughter’s 4 year old cat. She normally doesn’t travel well (i.e. peeing, poo, vomit in the crate). She’s very sensitive and thought perhaps she could smell our other cats in the crates so we decided to buy her one of her own. I chose this one because it would be easy for my teenage daughter to carry around and would look okay if she left it in her room and it had great reviews. My daughter spent 3 weeks training her cat to get used to the carrier. She put treats and cat nip in it and would open different zippers and openings and let her explore it. She would play in it and also just let her nap in it. After awhile she would carry the crate downstairs and sit and talk to her while she stayed in it. Then one day she carried the crate to the car and would sit in and talk. The day of her vet appointment her cat did real well in it and only meowed and carried on but no getting sick. Also in the examining room she ran back into her crate and laid there while we talked so we knew she was comfortable in it. The crate isn’t very sturdy if you take the bed out. But the bed is soft and comfortable and the crate is nice with the bed in. The fabric feels very sturdy and can be wiped down or you can dunk in a tub to wash it if necessary. We liked the extra pocket on the outside and that we could use the shoulder strap or take it off. The best part is all the openings. Having a top opening is very useful for an uncooperative cat. We put a puppy pee pad in the crate in case of an accident she wouldn’t have to lay on a wet bed for the ride home and having both ends opened made it easy to wrap the pad around the bed. My daughter was able to carry the crate easily but did struggle with bumping it into things so she carried the bag in her arms. Her cat is 8.5 lbs and fit with plenty of room to spare. She snuggled into the back at one point and we still had half the crate empty. When completely stretched out she still has a few extra inches. We are pleased with this crate and felt it was a good value.

Reviewing Pet Carrier
Update on carrier! I finally got to use my new carrier when taking one of my cats to the vet to get their annual rabies shot. This carrier is really sturdy, and did a good job of keeping my cat inside the carrier. I have a 14 pound tortie and this carrier kept her confined. I like the fact that it has heavy duty zippers and you can take your cat out from the top of the carrier instead of the front which makes it easier for the vet or vet tech to examine your cat, It has a nice sturdy handle too to carry your cat into the vet. The strap that came with the carrier is adjustable and you can take it off if you decide not to use the strap. A few times I have removed the shoulder strap and just used the sturdy handle. The strap clips off and on. It even has a removable pad inside so you can wash it in case your cat throws up or pees or poops inside the carrier. If you have to wash the pad, I would recommend washing it on gentle cycle and in warm water. Don’t worry, it won’t shrink. Just so I won’t have to keep washing the pad, I put an old hand towel on top of the pad to protect the pad and keep it clean. The towel is easier to clean than the pad. Luckily this wasn’t very expensive and it definitely was worth the money! And it has zippers instead of screws. My old heavy duty plastic carriers are still good and the metal doors stay shut when I close them. So I still use those when I have to transport all three cats to the vet. But for just one cat, I use my zippered cat carrier. It’s easier and lighter weight than my old carriers. I would definitely recommend this carrier! This gets an A+ from me!

Really good experience!
I purchased this because I wanted a kennel that could pack compactly for a Boundary Waters trip. My elderly 11 pound dog has always loved going to the BWCA, but he has intervertebral disc disease. I was thinking if we didn’t take him, he may never get to go again, but I wanted to be prepared to pack him out If he couldn’t handle the portage or sitting in the canoe. I did not expect much for the price. I expected it to only last for the trip, but I have been impressed! The kennel can be fully collapsed, if you unzip the flaps on both sides and remove the floor. With the flaps zipped up, the kennel holds its shape well, and there is a smaller zippered door on one side for the dog to go in and out. The bottom has a soft cover over a sturdy, impermeable plastic corrugated sheet that gives some insulation from the cold ground and is easy to take apart for washing. I did end up packing the dog out on the way out using the shoulder strap, because his back looked stiff. I was a little worried about what would happen if the canoe capsized while the dog was in the canoe. The top zips wide open, though, so I had the dog in his life jacket and unzipped the top so he wouldn’t be trapped in it in an accident (which didn’t happen, thankfully). The flooring kept him comfortable and dry in the canoe, even though there was some water on the bottom of the canoe. We continue to use the kennel. We let the dog sleep in it in our room, and I’ve taken it apart for washing twice. It’s a lot easier to carry around than the hard side kennel.

I bought 3 carriers from 3 brands and this was my second favourite. The quality for price is very good for a medium sized cat or smaller dog. Comfort value is high with adequate ventilation and a soft cover on the base for the pet to lay on. I tend to put another cover on the base for ease of cleaning. Importantly, the carrier frame is reasonably sturdy and does not collapse in on the pet. The carrier is also light and easy to carry.

Bought this because of the loads of 5* rating. I absolutely love this carrier, it’s light, it’s easy to get my cat in and out of, it folds down to stow away and it looks really smart. It’s deserving of 5*. I love it so much I’m treating my daughter to one for her lovely cats. Worth every penny.
