I ordered this quickly when I saw the “3 in 1” claim in the product name – an ultrasonic barking deterrent, a clicker, AND whistle? I love when I can carry a single item rather than multiple! Didn’t notice that the extra features were actually from a separate item (when the image is small, a white clicker with a yellow wristlet is VERY hard to see). Maybe they meant 3 in 1 as in the three different buttons on the device (fixed frequency, variable frequency that flashes lights, and flashlight), but it didn’t read like that in the product name to me. There’s too much information in the product name… People aren’t buying this for the clicker or whistle, so maybe nix that for clarity or list that it’s with a free gift.The screen feels like overkill – it’s surprisingly large for how little information there is to convey using this! I put the tool up to my ear and pressed the buttons, and I could hear the different sounds. It was pretty quiet to me, but my dog was four feet away and fled when I pressed them… It wasn’t just a curiosity to him. This does a good job of cutting in when something has your dog’s attention and they aren’t listening to you. It breaks the focus on whatever they’re barking at, which on its own might help stop the barking or is a chance for you to tell them to calm down. Super easy to use, and you can lock the device to avoid accidentally pressing buttons and freaking out dogs which is nice. I wouldn’t use this as a flashlight while walking in an area with higher risk of someone or something hurting me, though. The beam isn’t concentrated enough to give you a heads up that something’s off and is more effective as a beacon to help others locate you.Super lightweight, to the point it feels like a kid’s toy. The indicators on the screen feel very inelegant and unnecessary, as you’re pressing a button to elicit each ultrasonic pitch… They could literally change it to just show a sound icon so if you can’t hear it, you at least can tell it’s registering the button press even if the barking dog doesn’t seem affected. There’s no need for an indicator for the flashlight, either… Pretty obvious when it’s on.I don’t think this is worth the current typical price of $34.95, nor the current discounted price of $29.99. You can easily get a flashlight for much less that is much higher quality, yet this sad excuse for one is supposed to be a selling point? It just doesn’t make sense to me. If you’re going to implement something poorly, you’re better off leaving it out. Low quality makes people feel like they’re overpaying. This might’ve been a nice, compact device without the extra guts for a flashlight, something that’d really stand out in the market. Only do a “but wait, there’s more” if you’re doing things well. The primary purpose of this is to be a barking deterrent, and it DOES seem to accomplish that… That’s why it gets the four stars; it does what I needed. The poor flashlight takes something that works and turns it into something that feels a bit junky and clunky.

This is a great little device. We have another one that only has one sonic tone and it does seem to get my dogs attention more using this one and switching it up between the two. For my specific dog, this doesn’t stop her barking for very long, but it does get her attention and it helps. For barking we mainly just use it in the car because she gets over excited going to the dog park and barks right behind my head, and this does help with that, especially since we’re only going about 2 miles down the road so don’t need it for very long.My favorite feature, though is the light.. It’s VERY bright and easy to turn off and on – I use it pretty much every night walking my dog now.. my only suggestion or complaint may possibly be that the wrist lanyard would be easier if it was on the other end than the light so that the light was pointing down if you let go of it. I say that because the light is so bright that it’s almost blinding for a second when you hit your own face accidentally. We have never used the strobe light setting, but I like having the option as well, just in the event of an emergency.Finally, the battery stays charged for a very long time. We use it at least once basically every day and only charge it approximately every other week or so. For the price definitely recommend.

Works on neighbors’ dogs
We have a small dog that almost never barks, but I got this for the neighbors’ dogs who are incessant barkers at all times of day and night. Their yard is back-to-back with ours and I found this dog whistle has helped shut down the barking. It doesn’t work on them all the time, most likely because of their distance, but at night when all else is quiet, it does seem to get their attention. The best part of it is that the neighbors have no idea. This is a very lightweight device – it feels and looks like a cheap toy, actually. But it’s easy to use, especially since I don’t need the clicker or flashlight. It holds a charge for quite a long time with a nice indicator to let you know when to recharge. It would be nice if there was an indicator to let you know when or if the ultrasonic whistle is actually sounding. But other than that, it’s a nifty little device and as long as it works, it’s worth the money.

My dog’s excessive barking was driving everyone crazy, but since I started using this device, the barking has almost completely stopped.The device is easy to use, and the rechargeable battery is super convenient. I’ve tried other anti-barking devices before, but this one is by far the most effective. The humane training aspect is also a big plus – I feel good knowing I’m not causing my dog any stress or harm.I’ve been using it consistently for a few weeks now, and the results are amazing.
