⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 stars – Amazing quality, third party compatible
Crystal clear performance – switching my whole system to ReolinkThis camera works amazingly well! The 3K video quality is crystal clear – you can see every detail during the day and the night vision is impressive too.The big plus for me is that it works with third party software, which gives me so much more flexibility in how I set up and manage my security system. Not being locked into proprietary software is huge. The camera has performed so well that I’ll be doing my entire security system with Reolink products. When one product works this good and gives you the freedom to use it how you want, it’s an easy decision to stick with the brand. At $39.99, this is excellent value for the video quality and features you get. Auto tracking works great, setup was straightforward, and it’s been rock solid reliable.Highly recommend – this convinced me to go all-in on Reolink.

No forced cloud for features, more customization and quality then competitors
Reolink does not disappoint and I think is slept on by many people. The camera app provides almost the same functionality as if you integrated with something like Home Assistant. There are TONS of features.Camera, recording, streaming, audio quality all punches above it’s price point by a long shot. What I love:- No forced subscription to access features unlike most big-name cameras- Multiple ways to save/access recordings- Quality build quality and sensors. Has some weight to it, doesn’t feel cheap.- Motion/Person/Animal detection works great- Great viewing angle and PTZ range goes further than you’d thinkWhat I wish it had:- A female thread for use with other mounting systems and/or additional mounting adapters- USB-C because why not- Color night-vision

    Love these cameras
So for those of you who have trouble getting your cameras to connect to your WiFi, here’s what I did:Initially during setup, you’ll want to use an ethernet cable connected directly to your router.Scan the QR code as instructed on the bottom of your camera using the Reolink app. It’ll then prompt you to select a method for connecting to your network. Choose the wired ethernet connection. Connect your Ethernet cable to your camera, then connect the other end into your router in an ethernet port.Follow the setup instructions.Once it goes to the screen asking you to connect to your wifi, skip this step.It should finish setup and take you to the home page of your Reolink app where you can now view your camera.Select the camera you just setup and click on the gear icon.Select wifi and choose your network. Yes this camera does support both 2.5 ghz and 5G. When prompted, manually enter your wifi network password and click save.Your camera should now be connected to both the Ethernet cable and WiFi. You can go ahead and disconnect the Ethernet cable and your camera should work fine on your wifi network. It may give a false issue with wifi connectivity initially when you disconnect your Ethernet and unplug your power cord. Just move your camera to wherever you want in your house and plug it back in. Give it some time. It might say it’s disconnected. I just clicked on the gear icon and went to wifi then went back to the main screen. Just click on some menu items or something until it reregisters and connects again. It’s a little iffy at first but so far my cameras have been working and connecting fine.Don’t forget to add in your high endurance micro SD card and format it. From here you can play around with the menu options.Mounting them was easy as it comes with a template. Just make sure your mounting plate faces whatever way you want your power cord to hang down from once the camera is locked into the mounting plate. It comes with a long power cord which provides more than enough length to connect how I need it to. The camera quality is pretty good, not great but you do have the option to choose between low, mid and high camera quality while viewing. There is some lag (few milliseconds) when watching the video from my phone and viewing actions live. Some of this can be fixed by adjusting settings within the app (lowering quality, etc). But mostly it’ll be come down to software, your internet connection, location, etc. not a whole lot you can do about that.I don’t like the pan tilt options as much because you can’t fine tune the movement and there’s lag time between when you press the button to rotate and when the camera actually moves. It’s moves a bit too much for my taste. I do not hear any sound when moving the cameras in our home however and that’s with the general noises (refrigerator, fans, etc going in).Sound quality is decent when using the two way audio but there’s definitely better quality out there for cameras in this price range.I like that you can schedule when you’d like to receive alerts for movement, especially since it’s an indoor camera, however I wish this function was more user friendly and we could select the time and dates like you would in a calendar app rather than sliding your finger along a vertical time map.Definitely make sure that they do not directly face up against a wall when viewing because that can alter the appearance when viewing on the phone.I’m still testing them out but I’ll try to remember to update if I notice anything else of importance.

Great quality, remember to buy the sd card
It tracks people, and you can also control where the camera is looking using the app, which is really cool. You can turn off all the lights and sounds as well. The only downside is that you can’t view the videos directly from your phone unless the camera is connected to a Wi-Fi network. I use my own hotspot to access the videos, but I wish there were a way to view them without any internet connection and without having to remove the SD card. Still, it gets the job done and the video quality is excellent.

Nice camera for the money, upgrade the firmware with caution.
The camera itself is OK. Image quality is fine as is low light performance.PTZ is laggy and past experience suggests that the motor drives are self-destructing so don’t move it around too much. There was an out of the box firmware update that broke much of connectivity protocols. After the upgrade the following protocols were broken – HTTP, HTTPS, RTMP. The only options were to configure using the REOLINK app and RTSP.Contacting REOLINK support took almost three days of back and forth to get them to email the shipping firmware to restore functionality. Due to the HTTP/HTTPS protocols being broken by the “upgrade”, it is necessary to upgrade via the Windows app.TLDR: Nice camera for the money, upgrade the firmware with caution.EDITReolink reached out and offered a full refund. I will be refusing it because the camera works for me as long as I don’t upgrade the firmware. I should also mention that tech support was as helpful as they could be and seemed very receptive to my suggestions for more detailed release notes and improved QA testing.
