This product has a high moisture content with a thin polymer film that forms upon spray application to protect against infection while moisturizing the skin. In addition, Tough Seal helps stop minor bleeding in wounds and is perfect for mishaps while trimming your pet’s nails. An all-in-one first aid solution for your pet!

Effectively treat skin irritations, minimize bleeding and help prevent infection with our safe, non-toxic, easy-to-use wound care for dogs and other pets.
Soothe, seal and heal with Tough Seal first aid for pets. It’s the only product you’ll ever need in your dog first aid kit, cat skincare provisions, or general pet wound care supplies. If your companion pet has a minor cut, rash, bite or any irritating skin condition, clean the area then shake and give a quick spray of our liquid bandage. Within two minutes the skin will be protected by an comfortable, SUPER THIN, invisible seal.
You can use Tough Seal on sore areas that your pet licks and picks to prevent sores and hot spots from getting worse. Our lick proof formula is non-toxic and hypoallergenic, so safe even if ingested. Once Tough Seal dries, it forms a stretchy film that can withstand all the natural movements your pet makes. Running, jumping and getting into mischief is no problem for Tough Seal. Once the healing process has finished, the bandage comes off naturally. And because it’s water based, it won’t sting your pet!

Proudly developed and manufactured in the USA!
Tough Seal is the first natural answer to your pet’s wound care. Inspired to create an easier alternative to bandages that would comfortably protect the skin while naturally speeding up the healing process. Created by PhD Organic Chemist, mom and owner of four rescue dogs and cats, Dr. Kerriann Greenhalgh developed Tough Seal for use on her own pets and is pleased to be able to offer it to yours. Dr. Greenhalgh researched and developed the perfect formula to look after all your pet wound care needs and is proud to be a member of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council as a woman-owned small business. It also helps to hydrate the skin, especially useful if your pet has dry, irritated areas.

A soothing water-based liquid bandage for pets, with no harsh chemicals
Tough Seal only contains two ingredients – purified water and a proprietary polyacrylate polymer. Make no mistake, this trade secret polymer was developed by an experienced, knowledgeable and passionate scientist and mom to many fur babies herself! And there’s nothing harsh about the liquid bandage; it was carefully developed to cause no stinging or burning sensations.
Polymers can be natural (beeswax, cotton, DNA) or man made in the form of plastics. Polyacrylates are a type of polymer known for their transparency, ability to absorb water and resistance to breakage. They’re often found in the plastics used in medical and dental implants and procedures that are 100% safe, non-degradable and non-toxic.

Replace your entire pet first aid kit with this spray on-bandage to provide safe wound and skin care for all your pets!
Tough Seal is really easy to use, which is essential if your pet is uncomfortable or doesn’t sit still for very long.
Once you’ve cleaned the affected area, shake your bottle of Tough Seal well and use a few quick, firm sprays to cover the whole area. Dab any excess off immediately using a clean cloth – our formula dries quickly, within one to two minutes. You shouldn’t need to layer the product, but you can add a second layer if you choose to do so. Excess is completely normal! Run off does NOT mean that the product didn’t adhere to the skin; only a small amount is needed to seal and protect the affected area.
You can apply Tough Seal up to three times a day for ten days. Apply it as soon as your pet is injured or bitten, or regularly spray it onto sore areas that are licked or picked. It can be applied to minor cuts that are still bleeding and will help to stop blood flow.

Vet recommended Tough Seal is a MUST HAVE in any emergency
Tough Seal has been developed with safety in mind. Although touching or cleaning sore areas may cause some discomfort, Tough Seal itself won’t cause any stinging. It won’t irritate and is safe for pets of all ages and sizes.
Tough Seal has so many uses. If your dog has a bad habit of licking his paws, or your cat has a hot spot on her tail, Tough Seal will form a protective barrier over the area and help it to heal. Even if your pet licks the area after application, rest assured that the formula is working! If your pet has had surgery, has damaged, bleeding nails or claws, or has an injury, try Tough Seal in place of a collar cone to stop them hindering their recovery by constantly licking the area.

Worked well.
Works as described. Sprayed on a deep injury on my dog, worked well.

Stays on, works well and was not bothered by it at all.
This is really good stuff! My degu had some foot sores and I put this on them. (His toenail had gotten too long, so he was butt sitting too much, not bumble feet) He did learn to sit there in my hubby’s hands with his feet sticking out with a treat while I blew on them to help them dry. He never picked at the area or seemed bothered. But, he did get better. He didn’t like the spray, I kept spraying his privates on accident, so I got a small paint brush to apply. Thank you for this effective, non-toxic product!

This product would be good for small areas that are not too troublesome for …
I bought this product to try to cover the spots where my little dog has licked the fur off her front legs and has lick granulomas. It did not keep her from licking the area as I had hoped. I thought that it would seal the areas and that she would not lick those spots, but she just kept at it and licked the product off. However, I think that I will still be able to use this product. I am continuing to wrap her legs with non-adhesive wrap (Coban brand name.) and though she can sometimes pull it off, I am finally seeing the spots begin to heal.So my strategy is to continue to use the wrap on her forlegs, alternating with a soft cone, and then once the areas have healed more, I plan to use this sealing spray. I think it is just going to be more of a battle than I thought to get these areas healed, as many others have described their efforts with their pets. This product would be good for small areas that are not too troublesome for the animal, or to cover a small abrasion, but if your pet already has a lick granuloma, I don’t think that this will really stop them from licking the area completely. I think it is a good product to use in a strategy or in rotation to get a lick granuloma to heal.

Simple and effective
Our dog has a owie little wound on top of his head. To stop the opening from getting dirty or infected we just spray this on the woundWhat is most important to us on this product is 1. It’s easy to apply by just spraying. No having to hurt him or make a mess by having to touch his wound. 2. Stops his itchy head which was driving him nuts. He was rubbing his head on the wall to itch and that just opened the wound. 3. Safe if licked by pets. Our other little guy wants to constantly lick the wound but not as much once it’s covered in the spray bandage and even if he did, it won’t harm him.

Sort of works
I thought this would create a thick plastic layer, but it doesn’t – it leaves a very thin layer that lasts a few hours. With persistence, and several sprays per day over more than a week, this is slowly helping a scratch heal on my cat’s belly. So, it’s certainly better than nothing, and better than trying to macgyver a traditional bandage or using an e-collar on a very active cat.

Helped my kitty heal from a wound

There is spray but no stick!
Worthless! There is spray and wet but no silicone seal. My cat is over grooming a paw. This does nothing to prevent him reaching the skin and keeping it open.Save your money and buy something else.
