Absorbs urine on contact and dries solid waste to reduce odor. Uses 5 to 10 times less than clay and clumping litter, so there’s less to buy and bring home. We recommend replacing the litter tray at least once every 2030 days for one cat, every 1015 days for 2 cats, every 710 days for 3 cats. Best Automatic Litterbox Every Made
We have owned 3 past automatic litterboxes, all by another maker. When the last one only held up for 4 months we were disgusted. That is, until we purchased the ScoopFree Litterbox. Assembly is so easy a child could do it. It controls odors and truly meets the claims it has made. The litter box lasted 3 WEEKS WITHOUT ODOR OR NEED FOR ATTENDANCE. We are amazed and truly cannot say enough good things about it. Our cat adapted right away to the crystals and loves the hood over the box. I changed it this morning with no muss, no fuss, and it took less than 2 minutes from start to finish without my EVER having to touch any dirty parts. We purchased the permanent litter tray and it is super. You will be so happy with your purchase that you will wonder why it took you so long to invest in this box. I loved these. Only issue is the cost. I had no idea there was a reusable tray and we use that currently to save on some of the cost. We will still use these when we go out of town for convince when having others watch our pets. This is such an easy way to cut back on all the dust and time spent cleaning. It has been extremely helpful through the early stages or my pregnancy when I’m home alone. It helps relieve a lot of worry because how little contact there has to be. These last longer than the reusable, something about then really cuts back on the moisture level.

Scoopfree boxes are cardboard, but they last
I find the Scoopfree litterbox to be a fine invention. It really works automatically, with a rake that doesn’t often make mistakes. My four cats (three are rescue cats — two raised from infancy) immediately became accustomed to the crystal litter, which really does soak up urine effectively. Even with four cats, I don’t have to change the litter more than every four to seven days. The litterbox doesn’t smell bad unless I don’t get around to changing it after four or so days, and even then it isn’t horribly stinky. At first, I thought that the cost of the replacement trays (about $18) was much too high, but after I realized that one doesn’t need a new tray until a couple of months have gone by, I decided that the cost is okay. I just dump out the used litter, etc., give the box a couple of paper-towel rubs, refill it with crystal litter (available at most grocery stores), and put the top back on. I’m now up to 1800 uses (as marked by the counter on the box), and have only gone through two litter trays. So the plasticized cardboard trays are worth the cost, and maybe someday the plastic Forever Trays for the Scoopfree box will become available again (they used to be available from Amazon).

This is the exact thing I need for the brand of littler box I had. Makes cleaning easy. The litter is good quality. Last about a month. Doesn’t have an overwhelming scent. Worth the price.

Easy to use
I get 30 uses out of each tray since my cat is indoors. After 30 it is definitely smelly, however no smell before reaching the magic 30 number. Thatās how I know itās time to change the trey. The only I have with the tray: when I place it into the trash barrel it has to go in standing upright and then the lid falls off and the content pours out of the box. So now I tape the sides of the box to hold it together when in the trash

Nice way to clean after your cat
I like the Liter Tray. It is a nice change, to just go in and pick up a dirty tray and trash it. I think it is a much cleaner and faster way to help your cat and save the oder from stinking up the house.

Coarse and large grain crystals do not work well with the Petsafe unit. This litter is ideal. It won’t jamb up the rake. Odour is minimal. But definitely buy the optional hood as well.
