Tell pesky parasites to ‘bug off’ with the Hartz UltraGuard Flea & Tick Treatment for Cats and Kittens. Each convenient and easy to apply, single dose tube kills fleas and deer ticks. Also repels mosquitos. Use only on cats and kittens 12 weeks and older weighing 5 pounds and over. Package contains three treatments —a three-month supply.
Directions: Remove one applicator tube from package and hold in an upright position away from your face. Pull off cap. Turn the cap around and place on top of tube. Simply press cap down to break the seal of the tube and remove cap carefully. Position the tip of the tube at the base of the pet’s back between the shoulder blades and squeeze out the entire contents of the tube to form a stripe as you move from the shoulder blades along the back to the base of the tail. The treated area may appear oily after application. Repeat every month. Consult a veterinarian before using this product on debilitated, aged or medicated pets. If signs of sensitivity occur, bathe your pet with mild soap and rinse with large amount of water. If signs continue, consult a veterinarian immediately.

Affordable but not the most effective. Great if you don’t have a persistent problem with fleas
If you live in the US South, I don’t believe this will be strong enough. From what I read, enough fleas can become immune to Etofenprox, the active ingredient in this product, whereas a combination of Imidacloprid and Pyriproxyfen are much more effective because they use unique biological attacks on fleas and the growth cycles. Others include Selamectin (Revolution) or Fluralaner (Bravecto).Feature Etofenprox Imidacloprid + Pyriproxyfen Selamectin FluralanerKills Adult Fleas ✅ Yes ✅ Yes ✅ Yes ✅ YesKills Flea Eggs & Larvae ❌ No ✅ Yes ✅ Yes ❌ No (but prevents reinfestation)Tick Protection ❌ No ❌ No ⚠️ Limited ✅ StrongMite Protection ❌ No ❌ No ✅ Yes (ear mites, sarcoptic mange) ❌ NoWorm Protection ❌ No ❌ No ✅ Yes (roundworms, hookworms) ❌ NoHeartworm Protection ❌ No ❌ No ✅ Yes ❌ NoDuration ~1 month ~1 month ~1 month ~12 weeksBest For Basic flea control, but resistance issues Stronger flea control, prevents reinfestation Broad parasite control, including worms & mites Long-lasting flea & tick control

    Works very well
This stuff works great. Our poor kitty was dealing with fleas, and after applying, it started working right away. Application was easy, kinda stinky and oily, but after about 48 hours it seemed to be fully absorbed and was already making him less itchy. Happy with purchase!

THIS PRODUCT IS KNOWN FOR KILLING CATS JUST GOOGLE IT
The main active ingredient, Etofenprox, is toxic to cats and can likely cause seizures, liver failure, death, etc. Please please just do a simple online search and check out a few different pages to find out more about this product. Google says it’s “generally” safe but I believe that’s the big companies paying people to say that. Just read a couple articles or science journals with studies of the effects of this ingredient on cats and you’ll see. There are also THOUSANDS of horror stories online of HARTZ flea medications & shampoos KILLING peoples pets. I’m not even exaggerating. I did not find out until after I gave my cat his first ever dose of this. I couldn’t afford our usual monthly flea medication and opted for this just for one month and figured that since it’s a widely known brand that I see everyday at the stores, it would be fine. No! I administered to my cat and my 2 dogs and could immediately tell something was wrong and I watched them for a couple hours and the symptoms were getting worse. My cat was really bad he was twitching a lot and drooling and he’s never done this with any flea medication in his entire life before (he is 8yrs & has always gotten flea medications his entire life) and my dogs were super lethargic and wouldn’t eat dinner. Called my vet who recommended that I wash everyone’s medication off as quickly as possible (luckily it had only been on a few hours at this point). After I washed everyone off thoroughly their symptoms stopped. I started researching this product to see if anyone else had experienced this because I was so confused and to my HORROR this product has been poisoning and killing people’s pets for decades!!!!!! Not kidding. I am so shocked that they are still able to be functioning and haven’t been shut down yet. It’s so wrong.

    Multiple outdoor cats…
Neighborhood cats are hanging in my yard–no little kids (yet) and no dogs right now. Easy to use, even on the “delicate” (don’t want to be touched).

    Fair try
To be fair, I don’t think any of these products can really help, but this one does a fair job.Flea combing is helpful (outside with a plastic container filled with hot, hot water and a lid). Then disposing of said container.

    Great deal
Great deal on the flea medicine for our cat. Easy to use. Affordable. Safe to use. Has not irritated my cat. No worry about tasting it. And it seems to be working great.

They work & they are cheap. Not as cheap in Walmart anymore, if you can even find them there.
I use this every month on my 6 cats. I buy 2 of them. Normally I would buy them at the local Walmart, but their price went up like $1.50 each one. I found them here on Amazon at the price was the same as it was, when I used to get them there. They work. They keep my cats free of fleas & ticks. If you can’t afford a Vet visit for every single cat every year to get the ones the vet gives you; these work!

This product is too aggressive. The day after use my cat developed a severe skin rash on the application area as if the skin had been burnt. The cat had to go thru cortisone treatment to help clearing the rash. After the rash cleared the cat was left with thickened skin where the product was applied.

This product is so horrible it burned my cat’s skin and left a bald spot. This is my biggest regret. My cat was suffering from burned skin for 2 weeks. Pls do not use this product. This should be banned from any platform.

Cats still have fleas. The products smells really strong and the cats did not like it, other brands do not seem to bother them when applied, this one did, for both cats.I brush them daily with a flea comb and I still find fleas.Avoid.
