Great teeth cleaning toy
I bought this for my pit bull. He is 75-80lbs. They didn’t have an option for his weight, so I got the alligator for up to 35lbs. He has already chewed the alligator’s face off. Now it is just an analgator. lol I do monitor him the whole time since he is over the weight limit of this chew toy. The body of the alligator has proven to be better suited for my pit bull’s chewing than the face part. I bought an Arm & Hammer yellow bone chew toy for teeth cleaning a while back. It was the BEST THING EVER for my pit bull to chew on. He destroys every toy in a matter of minutes. That yellow bone lasted forever and he chewed on it daily and consistently throughout the day. I haven’t been able to find another one like it, so I decided to get this alligator despite it not being for his size. It still seems durable and I think would last longer with a dog under 35lbs. I give it 5 stars bc it is a well-liked chew toy in my house with the dogs I have that like to chew. It seems well-made and great for cleaning teeth.

Nice chew toy for doggos who are more dedicated chewers.
My 40 lb Boston Terrier is a hunk of muscle and can chew pieces off any toy. He absolutely loves these. He does not eat what he is able to chew off, and one of these toys last a whole year last time. I got him a gorilla and 2 purple alligators for Christmas. He often has all 3 of them in front of him at once. They are his go to toy. They have a scent he really like too.

These Arm & Hammer toys are super durable. Our dogs love playing tug and keep away with it. I wouldnt advise using it for fetch inside the house as the shape will make it bounce all over. 1-2 years in there are small pieces of it coming off, but for a toy to hold up that long and not have anything come off is nearly impossible.

Currently surviving a SUPER CHEWER!
Welcomed a pomeranian/terrier mix to the family recently. Although he is small he is very capable of tearing things apart! He has destroyed many, many types and brands of toys. When he grew tired of destroying those he turned to objects in my house, walls, furniture, railing etc! I’ve tried different brands and textures and this is one of only 2 brands he hasn’t outright destroyed! He’s had this toy for almost a month now and it has come out of this time almost completely unscathed! You’ll notice there’s a little damage to one of the hands and top of the head but hes managed to destroy toys in an hour or less, so I consider this a big win and will absolutely replace with the same product when the time comes! There’s a hole, I think for treats. I haven’t used that. It also has a smell, almost like baby powder. In any event, absolutely worth the price which I found to be great to begin with. My dog loves it, and me and my house are soo glad he’s chewing on this! If you have a super chewer (I’d never heard of that) I strongly suggest this toy. They also have larger ones for bigger breeds!

Heavy duty, but treats of any size get stuck in hole and can’t get them out.
It’s very durable, I think it’ll last forever, and it’s made really well. Huge issue though, the hole opening really doesn’t allow for any treats to come out whatsoever. No matter how much the toy is turned over, or how far up in there the dog tries to get its tongue or paw, nothing is coming out of that sucker. I think that if my dog could actually get something out of the treat hole, she would have been more interested in playing with it, but after being beaten by the toy time and time again, she won’t even look at it now. probably gives her nightmares at this point. She knows there’s a treat stuck in there but she can’t get it. If your dog is a heavy chewer regardless of whether or not there is a treat involved, this toy would probably be pretty good for you. If your dog is like mine though, and pretty much only chews because they’re trying to get something out of it, this is not the toy for your pup.

Malinois-X Gus Approved!
This was one of the first toys for our Malinois-X when he was a puppy. Now four years old, we can rarely get him interested in anything else. He is obsessed with them and has accumulated many over the years. This picture is just part of his collection. He tends to hide them in the yard so he gets more. The ribbed body must feel good on his gums as he likes to “mouth” them for several minutes before dropping one at our feet to throw across the yard for him to catch. He must have “gorilla time” several times a day. He also likes to chew off the head so that they throw better and don’t bounce high, potentially going into our neighbor’s yard (the “Corn Field”). Thankfully their landscapers or granddaughter throw them back over the wall when they find them.If you have a boxer, Malinois or any high energy dog that likes to catch and run back and forth for hours, I recommend these. They have a little weight but not too much and the ribbed body gives them added energy diversion. They will be tired at the end of the day, but very happy.

Treats go in… but don’t come out
I love it, it’s very durable, but my only complaint is that the treat hole is not very useful, because neither me or my dog could get them out. I had to pry them out with a stick. I read some people have cut the little flops/teeth at the rim of the treat hole and have had success. We were a little traumatized to risk that mental energy to try for now. Otherwise, it has resisted my 14 lb mini schnauzer with scissors for teeth. Some pieces have come off, but it’s minimal, just be mindful of them as they get loose and bitten out with time, so they are properly discarded. It is very resistant to chewers. It might be a little too heavy for smaller dogs tho. My 14 lb schnauzer can carry and play with it no problem, but I think she gets tired of carrying it around sometimes for longer period of times. Otherwise she loves it. Bonus part is that it smells really good on its own, and very much so still after several ours of play time. If you have a powerful chewer small to mid size dog, it’s a great toy. If your purpose was treat dispenser, I’d take another route. All and all, great value for your money.

My dog wasn’t into it at first but as soon as I put a treat in there, he was all over it. I love that it’s cleaning his teeth while he’s playing because he will never let us brush his teeth even though we’ve tried a few times. Only time will tell if it truly helps remove plaque/tartar.

I bought mines 3 years ago. My dogs favorite toy. Its comes with a whole to insert treats so he gets distracted the whole day. He has a problem, not sure why he wants to bite every toy until he destroys it. He could never do a scratch to this one
