Give Your Pet A Conducive Habitat — SunGrow Axolotl Leaves are around 2″ (5 cm)) and are a good addition in the axolotl enclosure. You will notice that the aquarium water starts changing color to tea-like. Our leaves release compounds that are beneficial for your pet.
One Product, Several Benefits — Once introduced into the axolotl habitat, our leaves serve more than one purpose. It provides shelter, an addition to their diet, energy during recovery, balance pH and clears water.
Optimum Quality Leaves — Products like bottled black-water extracts may contain other elements mixed in that may not be good for your pet. You could pick the leaves outside, but you cannot be sure of the quality. The best assurance for your pet is to use SunGrow’s specially dried leaves. They are hand-picked to ensure that every single leaf is of optimum quality.
Not Just for Axolotls — Please note that your axolotl amphibians are antisocial, and you house one pet in one tank. If you own multiple pets, you can make use of it with shrimps, snails, and fish. With time, the leaves would soften, and these pets will start to use the leaves as they see fit. Shrimps have been known to nibble on soft leaves, while fish sometimes hide under them. Our leaves serve as leaf litter for your other amphibians like newts, salamanders, and frogs.
Easy To Use — Depending on your water tank size and the pH level needed, drop a few leaves into your water tank (you can use a pH tester or a drop checker). Over the next few days, the leaves will slowly settle down to the bottom. Since SunGrow Special Leaves are raw, you don’t have to boil them down. Simply drop these leaves straight into your tank… it’s that easy to use. These leaves can be used in a cage as well, to make a more naturalistic cage.

Hermit crabs LOVE them
All of my hermit crabs absolutely Go Bananas over these things. They drag them around, they play with them, they hide underneath them and they eat them. I do understand that Hermits are really individual and this does not guarantee that yours will love them as much as mine do, but I am reordering now since my 5 Hermits all agree that these are just the best thng ever

My hermit crabs love these leaves. I put a dozen small leaves in their tank and every one of the leaves has been nibbled on. I was a little bit surprised at the cost for a zip bag full of small leaves but they are worth every penny. I have had my hermit crabs for several years and I am always looking for something new to give them. These leaves did the trick.

No interest from my Axolotl
My Axolotl cared nothing about these leaves. After several seperate attempts, I’ve decided all they do is discolor her water.No bad smell, packaged nicely.

Hermit crab food
At first I thought I wasted money on this, but my hermit crab later on started to nibble ok the leaves. I lay around 5 or so pieces in his tank and he nibbles on them every now & then. Good value for the amount of leaves in the pack.
