My pup absolutely loves this blanket. She is an anxious Pittie rescue and destroys everything, but she protects this blanket, drags it all over the house and cuddles with it. It isn’t the heftiest quality and the delicate weave (machine hook) looks a bit sparse coming out of the package. However, it fluffs up instantly and has the softness of feathers. Being double-sided makes it extra plush and helps it hold warmth. Plus, there are no stiff or rough edges. It travels easily and makes a great sleeping mat when you don’t want to schlep an entire bed.
The blanket IS machine washable. The folks deducting stars likely ruined theirs by throwing it in with a full load on whatever setting and drying it with high heat. That doesn’t work for this product. I wash it as a small load by itself or with one other item, using cold water and “delicate” cycle. Then tumble dry low without any fabric softener. My old Whirlpool has a “fluff air” setting that’s basically cool air and is ideal for this. Alternatively, you could air dry and once fully dry, pop it in the dryer for a minute on low heat just to fluff it.
Overall a great buy, keeps my pup happy and holds up well with proper care.

Car carrier
Bought for inside my cat and little dog’s car carrier. Been using a towel a long time. They love fluffy donut beds and this is like that. Light and fluffy. I wash with my gentle loads. Could be a little heavier, but so far the weight hasn’t been an issue. Thank you for bringing comfort to my old pals.

It was a sweet, soft and cuddly little blanket for my new puppy but I put it through the washing machine and dryer and it came out all matted and feels more like a fleece blanket. My advice is to air/line dry it, otherwise you will ruin it!

I got two of these blankets, one for My for baby granddaughter and another for a Frenchie that my son was fostering. They both love the blankets and when the foster went to his new home, his blanket went with him.
