Amazon Basics Topical Flea Treatment for Medium Cats (5-9 pounds) prevents and kills fleas. Previously known under the Solimo brand, this cat flea provides the same effective formulation in a 4-dose pack. Our topical flea treatment for cats begins eliminating fleas as soon as 12 hours of application, including eggs and larvae. Active ingredients Imidacloprid and Pyriproxyfen work together to prevent flea infestations. For best results, apply these cat flea drops directly to the dry skin on the back of your cat, between the shoulder blades, on a monthly basis. This flea treatment kills and prevents fleas for up to 30 days after application

Works incredibly well!
I have two 7 year old female cats, one of which spends half the day outside. For a year I treated my indoor only cat with this flea treatment, and used a prescription flea and tick topical treatment for my outdoor cat. However, when I wasn’t able to get the prescription treatment, I used this on my outdoor cat, and was pleasantly surprised with the result. I have continued to use it on both cats for 6 months now, and we have remained flea free! We live in a heavily wooded area, and my cat often naps out in the woods, so that’s a testament to the effectiveness of this product. Also, and most importantly, my cats have never had a reaction to the formula, which can be very scary, and is always a main concern when using flea preventatives on your fur babies. I’m very grateful for this product as it’s effective a wonderful value. I recommend giving it a try!

I love this medication! My cat did not have any negative reactions like she has had with other medications and it seemed to clear up her flea issues very quickly. She’s healing a lot faster than she did with other medications.

Comparable to Frontline and advantage, I would highly recommend this.
Okay, so it’s not revolution plus, but it does offer flea control, it’s easy to apply, the smell is as you would expect from other medications, so nothing different much in those areas.It’s not going to cure heartworms like revolution, it’s not going to kill ear mites from what I’ve noticed, but this is only my second time buying it, so I will report back with any noticeable improvements. It’s half the price of other, and works the same. Like I said, the only flea treatment I would say is better than this one would be revolution plus, because that does kill everything, but at $22 a dose, it’s no wonder. This comes out to less than $4 a dose.I noticed as soon as I put it on, there is scratching, but after that, it is calmed down. This is typical with all flea medications, because if your pet does have live fleas they run up to the face area, so your pet is going to scratch. That should subside in about 24 to 48 hours, however.

Don’t waste your money
Dealing with a infestation of fleas, i washed all bedding/clothes, used flea spray everywhere, used this on the cats and it didn’t help, and now because it didn’t kill the fleas on the cats they came back and infested the whole house

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I picked the product for price with hopes that it would work. My my cat Jason the orange I had taken him outside for 30 minutes the other day he rolled around in the dirt in the grass. Then about a week or two later I noticed him scratching excessively grooming. At a moment when I was sitting on the sofa watching a movie I had a flea jump on me as he was laying next to me. So I bought this along with a Amazon branded flea collar I didn’t shampoo him or do anything like that but the two together fix the problem I got the flea collar the day before I got this product that you put on the base of his neck where it meets his head. There was no foul odor or anything like that coming from the product it was easy to apply. It’s also important to note that each little vial I believe it comes with three is not filled up all the way it’s only filled up about 1/8 of the way. I saw this by using my phone’s flashlight and holding it to the back of one of the vials. It doesn’t take a lot to do the job. Great product highly recommend. I think if your animal is heavily infested I would try a dip or at least a shampoo medicated. Then a collar and this product. But if it’s like my Jason the orange experienced just the beginning stages of infestation the combo work fabulously

Doesn’t work
Bought this for cats and bought the Amazon version for dogs too and both don’t work! 2 treatments and they keep getting fleas. Asked vet about it and he said animals are resistant to this.

We have been trying some of the other brandname ones and none of them were working even after doing it for several months, this one worked the 1st or 2 day it’s a life saver for this 4-cat household.
