There’s a lot of features packed into a small unit
First off, if you’re having some difficulty getting the filter out of the machine to take off the plastic, there is a notch on the machine and the filter that line up.Once you get it set up and running, you’ll be working with a filter that has a pre-screen layer, a hepa layer, and an active carbon mesh layer. The filter weighs about 5oz. Turning the TDBYWAE GL-K805 on in my case defaulted it to automatic…which in turn put it to sleep once it read the PM2.5 level. I test a lot of purifiers, so my PM2.5 count is really low. I will note that in sleep mode it was quiet enough I couldn’t hear it over my central air, so I didn’t even bother trying to get a sound reading. Moving it to manual, I did ramp up the speed to it’s highest level and took an air speed reading. It’s not the highest you’ll see out there, but this small a unit is meant for a small space, so that’s probably an appropriate speed. I switched it back to auto and the machine went back to sleep. That all feels normal for me, but I can imagine someone who has never had an air purifier wondering if the sensor is really working or if sleep mode is the right speed. There’s two ways I test those questions that most people can do at home. The first is because PM2.5 sensors are mostly infrared, they should react to humidity. Set it outside your bathroom door next time you take a hot shower and when the door opens, you should see the unit react within a min or so. The other way I test is I have a glass door cabinet that I put the purifier in along with an essential oil atomizer. With that I can make sure the sensor goes up…then also see how long it takes for the machine to bring the PM2.5 reading back down. This unit did well in small space. I really only have one nagging question in my mind. Why when they made a beautiful black unit did they decide to fit it with a white plug?

This is a nice small air purifier for the money! 1700sq ft 😯
I love this product, for the money you can’t beat it! It says it cleans 1,700 ft which seems crazy for such a small unit. After it senses the air quality and cleans the air it goes down to whisper quiet. In the ad it shows a blue light inside the unit but I think that’s just the picture I have not found any blue light mode.

Great Little Air Filter
As someone who suffers from seasonal allergies and lives with two furry cats, I was desperate for an air purifier to clean up the air in my bedroom. Game Changer In My Craft Room
I needed a smaller unit air purifier in my craft room to help aerate it due to a lot of dust and glue fumes that’s generated by different projects. Plus, my dogs hang out with me, so this air purifier also helps to reduce any dander from them. While running, the motor is quiet enough so that I’m not distracted while working on my projects. Overall, I’m happy and glad that I got one finally.

Just Okay
The set up was easy and it is the perfect size. With that being said, I got this for a small room but I didn’t think it worked that great. I wasn’t able to tell a difference in the air quality even after running it for several weeks. The added aromatherapy diffuser at the top was really nice and did work great, my whole house smelled good even outside of the room it was located in.

Compact, Powerful, Sometimes Changes speeds on own
We put this air purifier in my son’s room (he’s a toddler) for the dual purpose of keeping the air circulating (his room gets hot quicker than others) and also to have a white noise machine to help with sleeping. We replaced a different air purifier with this one and I’m much more impressed with this machine. I like that you can set timers for the machine to run. I also like that there is a sleep setting where the air purifier hums very low. But it’s almost too low, and I wish there was a setting between the sleep and the medium – that would make this machine sound perfect for white noise. I’ve been using this machine consistently in his room for about two months, and then I received notice that it was time to replace the filter. It was very easy to buy the filter from Amazon – I think we spent around $25 for 2 filters.The only other issue we’ve had with this machine is that sometimes, it does randomly change speeds on us, or it will turn off completely. This has been an issue a few times at night where the sound went from the sleep setting to the high setting. And a change in sound like that definitely woke up my son.
