Excellent for covering Chihuahua puppy cast
I’m fostering a little 4.5 lb puppy who came in to the shelter with a broken leg. The rescue (Grateful Dog Rescue in San Francisco) I foster for is paying all his vet bills & he had to have his leg re-set and has a cast on it for 8 weeks. We’re on week 5 and I’ve been using these booties 1) to keep his cast clean & dry 2) to keep him from chewing his cast. I’m about to purchase for the third time. Each one lasts maybe 2 days- it’s really wet outside in the morning when I take him out so they get muddy. They are waterproof but after walking around in wet dirt after rain, The bootie is filthy. They fit perfectly over the cast and keep him from messing with it. One day I forgot to put on a new one and he chewed his cast off! Little stinker!

They served their purpose well
These were exactly what we needed when our dog had an issue with her toe that she wouldnāt stop licking. These deterred her from doing that and kept it protected. (They are disposable so it needs to be changed daily, especially if theyāre going out into the grass/mud/rain). I gave it 4 stars because the self sticking tape, in fact does not stick to itself well and will come undone. I ended up using painters tape to secure it around my dogās hind foot.

keeps bandaged paw dry
As this products listing does not include dimensions, these are 3″ wide and 6″ long. The tape wrap does not stick at all, so don’t count on using it unless tying it around the bootie.my dog has a bandaged foot and his current bandage is too fat to work with the rain boots he has that worked on a skinnier bandage job. It is about 5-Ā½” around and could not slide these on with the inner surface being grabby against his bandage, so cut a slit down the top. The waterproof part is on the inside while the outside is slightly fuzzy. Next time we go outside, I will be turning the next one inside out first. As they are, the fizzy outer surface attracts everything. the dirty bootie pix was from a 30 second trip outside walking across a wet driveway, a couple steps in a bark plant bed and a few steps into the grass. despite attaching dirt along the way, the inside did stay dry.These also have a little bit of stretch, so without a bandage to stick to the bootie, a bare pup’s foot near the width of the flat bootie likely would fit as well as have a little give while walkingUPDATE: after turning these inside out so the waterproof side is on the outside, and pulling to stretch these out a little, they have worked out well for the week we’ve needed to keep a paw dry when going outside. I have needed to use other stretch bandage tape to fasten these since still was not able to use the included tape. We were able to re-use one multiple days and kept his bandage dry. But once he walked thru a puddle of standing water, the water went thru to the inside, but these are good walking across wet grass and pavement.

Narrow opening
Very narrow opening and would not fit over a splint. I think they would be great if it was just the paw without a bandage that it had to go over.

These Work Great for Surgery
Why did you pick this product vs others?:These are wonderful.Ā My dog had surgery to remove a tumor from her paw.Ā I didn’t want to use those cones around her head to keep her messing with the stitches.Ā I put one of these on her paw and use the velcro to keep in place.Ā I changed everyday to put on antibiotic ointment on paw.Ā This worked really well and she didn’t mess with it.Ā I wish there was more of the velcro.Ā I had to purchase more at the store.

Sizing chart sucks
Measurements are definitely not true to size. Going by size I got my dog small. Well they were too small.Got the next size for my dog which I believe was a medium maybe a large not sure, too small..
