How the Flea Trap Light Works Effectively?
- The principle of flea traps is to use light, heat, color, sweat odor and the phototaxis and thermotaxis of pests to lure flea and other pests from 50 feet away.
- Once they enter the flea trap, they will be firmly stuck with the glue board and cannot escape.

Great weapon to add to your arsenal
A couple months ago, I discovered that the house was over run with fleas. I’m not sure where they came from. Could be the Michigan basement or the tall grass I mow through, or maybe I never fully got rid of them from 3-4 years ago. I’ve got several cats but I don’t have time to bathe them as I’ve been working 6 days a week for the last seven weeks and I’d rather conserve my strength for work to pay for their food, litter, etc. instead of getting war wounds from my fur babies. I’ve been using flea drops and oral flea treatment regularly as well as spraying high infestation areas (primarily bed and furniture). I’ve also been vacuuming regularly, and washing regularly. I’ve also been doing some more natural remedies. Whatever works, right? As long as it doesn’t harm the cats.Anyway the first night – July 22, I got anywhere from 6-10 per trap. I put one in the living room and one in my room. These are the 2 rooms I had seen them most. I’m planning to buy more for other rooms. They work well. I’m only seeing 1-2 new ones on each trap each day, but it’s not going to be much longer before I need to change the sticky paper and then I can see how the results change for the first night on the new paper.I understand why some people might be skeptical about this flea trap. But, it must be remembered that this is just a tool to be used in addition to other types of flea treatments (baths, drops, sprays, etc). It should not be considered the only form of flea control. Consider the fleas the enemy army and the different pest control options as weapons in your arsenal. Bows and arrows are only effective if there’s someone with a sword and shield to protect them. All in all, setup is not difficult, it functions ad it should. It catches the bugs as it should and the fleas die, just not right away. It’s a pretty decent value ad well considering you get 2 traps, 8 sticky papers, and 4 light bulbs. Would definitely recommend.

They work
These traps work amazingly well. Easy to put together and easy to change out the bulb and sticky pad. Only issue is one of the bulbs blew the minute I plugged it in but it did come with two spare bulbs. They definitely catch the fleas making it easier to treat my pets. Definitely worth the money for a quick solution.

Great for insect detection
These are great for detecting flea and mite hot spots. I found that if the item doesn’t have any insects stuck to the pad after a week, I can reposition. This is not an item to eliminate, but definitely great to find out where the bugs congregate.

Didn’t work – design faults.
I put it in a flea infested area. They literally would jump all over me if I walked through the rug. I sat and watched it as fleas would mostly jump on top of it then off again. A few fleas actually did get inside and about 1/2 of them were able to get unstuck. I tried it with several combinations and it was plugged in for several weeks as we tried other solutions. Later on, I put a heat lamp (Similar to: Woods Clamp Lamp Light with Aluminum Reflector; 150W; UL Listed; 6- Foot Cord) about 10″ above a cookie sheet with warm water and soap in it and the cookie sheet had about 100 fleas and a few other bugs that night. I had best results when I put a warmer under the pan all night. What really did the trick was constant laundry, steam cleaning, dog medicine, dog combing, and treating the lawn.As an improvement (1) make it taller as the fleas jump higher. (2) make the light warmer and bigger (3) make the sticky surface more sticky and possibly warmer.

It works!
It’s working! Seems to be catching quite a few so far. The light is not too bright at night. No more than a nightlight. So far we think it’s worth what we spent.

Useful tool in the fight against fleas
When Frontline and Advantix failed, our vet prescribed Bravecto for our dogs and cats. Additionally we used these flea lamps to help in the fight against these peaty critters. Every time I would come across a flea, I’d be able to drop it onto the sticky pad and it was one less nuisance that could lay eggs and multiply. We didn’t have much luck with the fleas actually jumping onto the pad at the own volition, but I still give this light 5 stars.I believe these sticky pads are a great tool in getting ahead of your flea problem.

Very flimsy frame
Handles: only 1 handle came in the box I ordered 2 boxes and 1 box had 1 Handle and the other box didn’t have any Handles. The frame is very thin. But light does catch Flys and mosquito, so I do use it just have to be very careful with it because it comes apart.
