Effective Chews That Helped My Dog’s Winter Dry Skin
Every winter, my dog struggles with dry skin because I live in a drafty apartment where humidity rarely stays above 32%, even with a humidifier running nonstop. Last year, I tried a high-quality shampoo and conditioner, which helped a little, but she still chewed her tail and had thinning hair. This year, as soon as the humidity dropped to 28%, she started chewing again, so I decided to try these multivitamin chews.I’m very happy with the results. By the third day, she was biting and digging less, and by the fourth day, she had barely done it at all. The difference has been huge, and if it continues at this rate, she shouldn’t have any thinning hair this season. The chicken flavor makes them easy to give daily, with no stress or struggle. She eats them like she would any other treat.I haven’t noticed other changes yet, but they’ve already solved the dry skin issue, which was my main concern. Even our picky grandpa dog ate these (but where is the FULL ingredients list?)
Cooper just celebrated his 16th birthday. He is Staffordshire/German Shepherd/Red Bone Coonhound mix, and in the past year he as started to slow down significantly and lose some strength in his back legs. We are also suspecting a little bit of arthritis. He did not used to be picky, but now, we have to rotate which treats we give him (we keep at least five or six different good quality treats on hand for “treat time” at 10pm) and really change up his dinner menu every night. As a geriatric canine, he seems to get easily bored with flavors and is now very particular with which types of chicken “flavor” he will eat. At first, he was very suspicious of these but instead of trying to get him to eat them out of my hand, I simply placed a couple on the ground so that he could sniff them, and he finally decided that he would give them a go. Day #2 he took two vitamins without issue. Our other dog who is 11 and EXTREMELY food driven inhaled these and did not even take the time to realize that they were something new or that they were “vitamins.” To him they were simply a tasty treat.I love that the manufacturer lists the expiration date and the lot number on the container, but I question where is the ACTUAL FULL ingredients list? For instance, the title says these are “chicken flavored,” yet I see no mention of anything “chicken” or any sort of “flavoring” on the ingredients list which leads me to believe they are not providing the complete list. What binds these nuggets together? What makes them smell like chicken broth? The vitamins are very “treat like” and are a little bit soft and crumbly….easy for our dogs to chew them. They are not squishy soft and they are not crunchy biscuits, either. It seems to me that there is something in these other than just vitamins, salmon oil, glucosamine, chondroitin, and probiotics to make them have this taste, scent, and texture.All in all, both of our dogs are enjoying these and I have not noticed any changes in their poops or any sort of digestive upset. The container will go quickly so I will post an update with how they seem to be feeling after it is empty.

Great ingredients!
This multivitamin is filled with GREAT ingredients- my jack russel terrier enjoys it like a treat and with my spoiled + picky dachshund terrier I have to conceal it for him to eat it but nevertheless, knowing my dogs have this extra supplement to benefit them in many ways makes me feel good and I don’t notice any adverse side effects or reactions in the 4 days I’ve given it to them thus far.

My Dog Seems to Like Them
It’s hard to review these because I don’t get much feedback from the one using it. He actually seems to like them, which is very rare for these kinds of supplements that have fish oil in them. I can’t really tell if they are making much of a difference yet, but they certainly don’t seem to be causing any negative effects. The price is pretty reasonable in this category, so even if it is not working and he just likes them, its an option that isn’t breaking the bank. I will probably buy again because I figure I will need to in order to see the long term use benefits.
