great product – read the directions and do research.
this flea medication works! a few things to note that i’ve seen in the reviews and it doesn’t seem like people do too much research – not to be abrasive but don’t miss out on a good product because people don’t read. this product is easy to use, effective, and provides protection from all life stages of fleas when used continuously.1. your dog is still itching after you apply the medication because they have flea bites. they will continue to itch for a few days or weeks until the bites are gone. you can use a oatmeal or anti itch shampoo to help. itching doesn’t necessarily mean continuing biting.2. you need to get it on to their skin and follow the directions which includes continuing in a line down their back from collar to beginning of tail.3. if you have an active infestation you should couple this product with a oral medication. it is safe to mix most oral and topical preventatives/treatments. you also need to wash their bedding and vacuum. you can treat these items with diatomaceous earth – put it on bedding or carpet and then vacuum it up. if you don’t feel like doing this just throw the stuff away. you also need to empty your vacuum canister in a bag and take it to the garbage for best results. you should also bathe your dog (ideally before applying this medication but if not, after it’s been a few days so not to wash the medication off), it is acceptable to do this with dawn dish soap which is especially effective for fleas.4. fleas have a life cycle so if you are struggling with an infestation you probably need to repeat the above directions in #3 every week for about 6 weeks in order to kill the fleas. you should readminister an oral medication once a week as well that kills adult fleas.5. yes dogs die from preventative flea medication. they also die from tapeworms that they get from fleas and fleas are miserable and pesky. it is a cost benefit analysis. dogs die from all sorts of flea medication, generic, oral, topical, or collars. dogs also die from annual vaccinations. it is a possibility that is listed in the information on this preventative – people simply don’t think it’ll be their dog. one of my dogs gets seizures from oral flea medication which is why we practice prevention from everyone else in the house and we have her on topical only.6. this is a generic version of a brand name product. it is the same dosage and ingredients as frontline. the big makers of pet medications have spent billions of dollars in advertising and litigation to make generic pet medications difficult to find and utilize.this is worth a try and it’s a great value for the price. just remember before panicking at the reviews that we have a literacy crisis in the US.

Works great!
By far the best affordable flea and tick treatment I have found. I have a degree in Veterinary technology, but even I know that the price point for a lot of the over-the-counter Fleet and tick treatments is absolutely astounding and if I can find one that’s cheaper that’ll do the job just as well I am going to save my money for better use for my pups! The Amazon brand flea and tick treatment has been a staple in my home for the last year, one of my little guys is notorious for getting fleas every year, except the last year that I started using this he has been flee free so that is all the proof I need! I love that they don’t use a bunch of additives and Bs ingredients that are not needed, they also made sure to create a formula that does not irritate your dog’s skin after use, in the past I have tried treatments that would even make my dog’s a little lethargic over the next few days, I have not seen this issue at all. Very easy to apply, Simply snip the top and apply to the back of your dog’s neck, it doesn’t drip down their skin at all and it dries in place fairly quickly. I cannot recommend this product enough, like I said it’s been a staple in my home for the last year or so and it will remain that way from here on out!

If you love your pet… Don’t do it!
Do not 🚫 buy!!! I have always used Frontline on my pets but I have two dogs and two cats and it gets expensive. I bought this product for my small dog big dog and two cats and basically just threw away a hundred and something dollars and have a bunch left that I’ll never use. They still have fleas I treated them twice one week apart from one another because I thought maybe they were just bad or something even though they only had about two that I had found between all four animals. I was about a week late on treating them as I ran out of Frontline. So I treated him with this and a week later I found several and they were so itchy and irritated so I treated them again. They’re scratching their miserable that and the capsules that they come in are so flimsy that I basically had to cut with scissors very carefully to even break apart the different files. I’m so angry that I wasted money on this and most Amazon products have been great so this one really broke my heart because I ended up putting my pets through misery that they didn’t need…

Effective & efficient
Purchased for a friend that was low on funds and took in a dog . I was pleasantly surprised to see the ingredients were the same as a brand name ! I will be now purchasing these for my own dog as well . Very effective on flea prevention & treatment, no skin irritation, and no fur loss noted . Great for any pet owner, especially on a budget.

Excellent value for the money. Works as good as the name brand!
I know many people have different mixed emotions on this brand, however, this has worked well for my animals. I use it as directed and I have never had any issues with fleas or ticks. None of my dogs have ever broken out or had a bad reaction and it seems to work just as well as the name brands that you pay triple for.
