Overview:We have been using this toothpaste on our Cavalier King Charles Spaniels since we got them as puppies. They are now 2 years old with excellent teeth and gums! We tried the adult toothpaste when they turned one year old, but they did not like the chicken flavor. They absolutely love the peanut butter flavor, and the baking soda really helps with their breath. Every time that I take them to the vet, they are very happy with their teeth and gum condition. The last visit, the vet scored both dogs’ teeth and gums and gave our female a score of 0.2 out of 4, with 1 being the best and 4 the worst, and gave our male a 0.3 out of 4. I usually brush their teeth every 2-3 days. Arm & Hammer is a name that I have grown up with, and I have learned to trust their products over the years. This toothpaste is no exception.Pros:The Enzymes break down the tarter, which keeps their teeth clean and gums healthy.The baking soda helps with cleaning and also keeps their breath fresh.I consistently receive positive feedback from my vets for both dogs’ oral care.The peanut butter taste is well received by both dogs.It is cost effective.Cons:None noticed with the peanut butter flavor, however, they do not like the chicken flavor as much.Conclusion:This is a high-quality product, at an excellent price. Even though this states that it is for puppies, they both really like the taste, and we have been so satisfied with the results that we have continued with this product and will do so as long as we see these results.

Great value, twice as much for less money.
Been using a different brand of enzyme toothpaste for my little chihuahua/pug (Chug) that she loved. She was a bit hesitant at the new texture of this one but because it was more than twice as much toothpaste for less money, I decided to give it more time. This paste is thinner consistancy and it’s white where the other was a thicker beige. I am going to see if there’s a difference when we get to the end of this one. For now, Chug has begun looking forward to our nightly brushings and I let her lick all the stuff left on her toothbrush. This one doesn’t leave any color like the other one did, so it’s easyier to clean up her toothbrush. I will update after we have finished the tube to report on any difference in cleaning. For now, this one seems to be a winner. Great price and trusted brand name. If it does the job, that’s a win/win for me. ***UPDATE*** Because this is a thinner consistency, more is needed to complete the job but it’s doing a better job of cleaning and is still a better value for the price. Dog has adjusted well to the taste and texture.

My wife uses this on our Malshih and he loves it. They have kept his teeth nice and super clean without any over powering fragrance or odor. He only smells like he’s eaten chips or twisties when we use the chicken flavor. Do keep in mind my wife brushes his teeth everyday so don’t expect super clean teeth with occasional once a week sessions. We have purchased these multiple time so it has been our go to for our boy.
