My cat loves this fountain! I have tried the pricey porcelain and stainless steel fountains and have had nothing but trouble with the loud noise, expensive filters and having to replace them as they seem to break easily with the motor not functioning. This fountain emits no noise at all, needs inexpensive filters and is lightweight making cleaning less difficult. The price is fantastic. I love this product but more importantly so does my fur baby!

Nice, but…..Product is very good looking, very easy to set up. (Despite no instructions included.) Price was very reasonable. So far it’s working fine. My main gripe is that the cord is so short you can’t really do anything without buying an additional extension cord. There is also no wall plug adapter included with this USB cord. I’m lucky I had something laying around but it isn’t a perfect solution. I would have given four stars or even perhaps five if the manufacturer had been more thoughtful.I’ll update as things go along. I’ve just got it set up and my cats are sitting there staring at it; they haven’t quite figured out what to do with it yet. I put their old water bowls next to it so they get the idea.It is a nice quiet-running little machine, its sound is very soothing, actually.UPDATE: Okay, I have had this for a few months now. I decided to upgrade to four stars . Once my cats figured out what it was for, now they love it and I see them drinking out of it all the time now. The sticker showing water level I never put on and I’ve never needed it. I just lookevery morning to see if the water level is low, and if it is I add a little bit. I still really like the very light sound of the running water. It really isn’t very noisy at all.I have cleaned it several times now, and it isn’t that bad of a thing if you just keep to a regular schedule. My one gripe about the cleaning process is that if you get that orange sliminess (which happens with all pet water dishes that sit too long, sorrysorry), I can’t quite get into the little holes on the side of the pump. I think I need to invest in a couple pipe cleaners &/or a tiny little brush, which would allow me to get into the nooks and crannies and speed up this process. Q-tips stood in for now.These pumps are really good little pumps. I’ve used them in aquariums before, they’re little workhorses. The thing is you do have to keep up with changing the filter sponge or cleaning it and replacing it. If you let it go too long, it’s impossible to clean and you just need to replace it. ***DO NOT run these pumps without the filter sponge.***Over time, the pump WILL fail if you don’t keep up with changing out the sponge and cleaning it as needed. Sponges aren’t very expensive. You can clean them a few times, but you WILL eventually have to replace them. You will extend the life of your pump if you keep up with this.As far as people saying that the filters explode and ruin the water, you need to change them out. As they get old they degrade and of course they’re going to fall apart! Running it with a dirty filter is the dumbest thing you can do with these fountains. You’re going to kill the pump, and besides, how would you like to drink water that’s going through a slimy dirty filter?Whenever you change these filters, be absolutely sure !! that you give them a thorough wet down under the faucet and rinse them off before you put them in the fountain.As far as running it without a filter, why bother having a fountain if you’re not going to use the proper filter? That is going to kill your pump pretty quickly for one thing.Anyway, I’m pretty satisfied with it. I shopped around and found good deals on replacement filters and sponges so I’m set for a couple years at this point. It’s cute and my cats like it now. I’m good.

Nice item It’s exactly as pictured on the product page. My kitty likes it It took her a little bit to get used to it but she’s using it now 🙂 It was easy to put together, easy to refill, very quiet. All the good things!! It was a great price for a cute little product that serves its purpose.

too little water: so insanely loud, can’t hear myself think.too much water: leaks everywhere, possibly ruined my hardwood floor.it does dispense water, so thats a pro, i guess? also came with no instructions, so putting it together i was basically going in blind.
