Big, Quiet Dispenserā¦But My Dogs Snubbed It
I picked up the PETSOLON Automatic Dog Water Dispenser thinking it would be an easy way to keep my dogs hydrated in the backyard. It really does what itās supposed to do. Hook it to the faucet, and the bowl keeps a steady water level. The stainless steel feels sturdy, and two gallons is plenty of water. No electricity, no batteries, no fuss.Hereās the odd partā¦ my dogs just donāt seem interested. They sniff it, sometimes lap a little, then walk away. Maybe because they donāt spend much time outside, or maybe they just prefer their usual bowls inside. Either way, the thing sits out there mostly unused, collecting dirt and leaves when I forget to cover it.One heads-upā¦ if you want to keep using your regular hose, youāll need to buy a splitter. And I do think the price feels a bit high. Forty to fifty bucks would match the value better in my mind.So yes, it works exactly as promised. The only question is whether your dogs will actually use it. Not pleased
When this came to me, it did not have any of the parts. It was dirty which mean it was someone else’s first. I needed this really bad. My son was going to install it. I had it delivered for the next day. When I went to get a new one, now it’s going to take 4 days. Im 70 yrs. old and this is stressful.

My ducks love the fresh water!
This has been a HEAVEN SENT item for keeping my ducks’ water fresh and filled throughout the day. It is a LARGE container that I bet would be suitable for any large dog, or maybe even a small pony! It’s easy to set up, and functions autonomously, so as long as your spigot is on, it handles the rest. The only problem I have found is that cleaning it can get kind of finicky trying to reach up into the crevices of the metal bits. I haven’t had any issues with tarnishing, leaking, or damage yet! I would definitely recommend this waterer!

Hasn’t arrived why are you asking for a review when its late??!!! Arrived late and none of the hose connections would hook up to standard garden hose connection since its thread pitch is all wrong. Additionally in all my life I have never seen use double hose seals in my life. This thing had more leaks that a Colander!

Cheap china garbage
Metal is thin as paper . Non chewable hose is made of cheap recycled plastic swimming pools. I could chew through the plastic hose.The hose they send doesnāt fit on your hose or house faucet !CHEAP CHINA GARBAGE

Great waterer for those who work away from home
I love this self-waterer for my dogs! My dogs can at times try to “paw” the water out of their bowls, but with this waterer – it’ll auto refill so if I’m not at home, I don’t have to worry about them not having water while I’m at work.The design of the waterer works well. This layout is good for my 150 lb dogs to drink out of (it’s not too small for their big heads).Cleaning is easy. I bought a brand new toilet bowl brush from the dollar store (that I only use for this waterer) and I’ll swish it around to loosen up any stuck fur on the bowl and turn it over to empty it and refill it.In regards to setting it up, I’d recommend getting a splitter on your water faucet so that this can be hooked up to a constant water source 24/7, especially during the warmer months.One thing to note, if you can hook this up in a shady area, that is preferred as it can warm up if in the direct sunlight.

Really, really, nice auto dog watering bowl!
This is one of the most useful things that I think I’ve ordered on Amazon in a while. In a nutshell, this is an automatic dog watering bowl. You hook it up to a hose and the hose fills the bowl. The dog drinks the water, and then the bowl automatically refills it. It’s a beautiful stainless steel, apparently durable, and rugged. It comes with mounting hardware and some hookup hardware as well as Teflon tape. It even included a small brush to clean it out with. Speaking of cleaning it out, there’s a very easy to plug in and take out drain hole on the bottom of the bowl as well as a spare in case you loose the one installed. I’ve mounted mine on the side of a sink table that I built out by our chicken coop so the dogs have water in the back yard. So far it seems pretty sturdy on the wood that I attached it to but I’m afraid it may start to sag over time. This isn’t a function of the bowl really except that it’s a little heavy and may cause what you mount it to to sag. This can be easily reinforced but I’ll cross that bridge if I get there.The one concern I have is that the hose hook up point on the bowl is a plastic threaded fitting. I don’t trust plastic threads when you screw something metal onto them. If you want this not to leak you have to tighten it down to the point where I’m a little sketched out by this fitting.But, as installation was very easy, it holds plenty of water, it looks really good, and so far is working great, it isn’t hard to give this one five stars.
